Good morning mixers. Enabling, what’s that?

I have a dental cleaning appointment this morning so get to go in late to work. I finally got some more work in yesterday that should keep me busy for at least a few days. I’m usually much busier this time of year.
Glad you got some busy work.

I don’t have to wait for my hair to dry. I had them use a #5 clipper on the top a couple days ago. It’s dry shortly after I get out of the shower.

I’ve got another 30 minutes to kill before I need to leave for my appointment. It’s nice having some extra time in the morning instead of rushing off to work.

Yeah, I’d like mine to dry faster but I’m not willing to cut it.

I remember as a kid my mother and sister would sit under one of these..

    Morning all.

Well, got the burn pile reduced to ashes yesterday, so there's room for more. Back on the chain saw today, so I can burn again tomorrow... another 5 or 6 iterations of that, and the winter blow downs will be done. Until the next wind storm...

But, no significant rain for a bit, so at least the weather is in my favor for it.

Drinking coffee and waiting for my hair to dry. It’s down to my waist and doesn’t dry quickly. Never was a fan of hair driers. Contemplating what to do today.
same here...my hair used to be down to my ankles
and no I can't use a hair dryer....other wise my hair will be an afro
it's bad enough that after I wash it it's all curly and I can't brush it until it's fully dry
I did use to have one of those like sham wow towels and that did help my hair dry a bit faster

Not quite so bad here. My hair is straight as an arrow. I haven't bothered curling it in years.

I'm back at work from the dentist appt. I was surprised to be greeted by a new hygienist this morning. I guess my regular one I've had for years decided to move back to her home town and stay home with her new child. Her husband is a dentist I believe so am sure they will be fine financially. I did like her and will miss her. The new one seems ok so far.

my hair has a mind of its own
it's usually straight....there's enough native american in me that it builds up oils pretty quickly, but not enough to make it greesy, just enough to weigh it down and straighten it out....
 but the moment it gets wet  it's somewhere between curly/wavy aw that's cute and hi I'm homeless and haven't brushed my hair in years

I have no idea about telescopes. But when I want to find something good on amazon, I just google something like "best astronomical telescopes on amazon". Websites will pop up and if you click on the first one a list will show numbered #1 and down and you can pick and read reviews and stuff like that. This is what my search came up with:

    Amazon Best Sellers: Best Telescopes

I followed that link and spent a bunch of time yesterday reading long techie reviews, and followed some links from those reviews to other informative sites.

Seems reflector telescopes can give you better viewing but they don't do well in a light polluted urban area. They also take a lot of effort to set up, people were talking about weeks of work and a bunch of accessories. Definitely not plug and play unless you move up to a $3K telescope. Refractors can handle light pollution a lot better and you can pretty much take them out of the box and go for it. You can get nice views of the moon. But unless you move into the $1K+ range you can't expect much beyond the moon. The local planets will look like bright stars. You might get a fuzzy glimpse of Saturn's rings and a hint of the cloud bands on Jupiter, and you can spot some of their moons. No galaxies or anything like that.

I might go ahead and get a halfway decent refractor for checking out the moon. Maybe one day we will move out pf the city and then it might be worth getting something better.

Thanks again for the link. That got me started on doing the research.
