I just saw that ricks posted that fasttech has some Z coils for $2.28 a box if anyone still needs some. The .48, .8, and 1.6 are on sale.

You certainly aren't either boring or stupid. You'll get there in time. Trial and error like all of us. I have never considered myself an awesome mixer though I can be creative for sure.

I haven't looked on FT for ages. Surprised to see them selling single coils. Maybe they are hoping peeps will mistake them for boxes.

And I have heard VERY differntly...that you ARE and AWESOME AND CREATIVE mixer. I just like to have something simple. Still waiting on M. to make her choices so we can order and play a little!

It's not cheap. For just one coil.

Some of the coils are 5 for that price and some are single, you have to dig through the listings.

Morning all, happy hump day

Rain moving in for the day, so, yeah, break time

Sometimes when I put a new battery in it works great. Other times I get no connection and I take it out and put it back in a few times before it works. Sometimes the connection happens but when I press the button the wattages go crazy (it could be seconds but I think it’s wattage and even if it is seconds the numbers are up and down and all around). And showing varying seconds or wattage is not normal.

I looked at the battery cap and could see a tiny bit of foreign matter in one of the grooves. I took my eraser and scrubbed it down until clean. It seems to be working...for now. I’ll try the alcohol swab in a bit.

Ah, with that extra info, while cleaning the 510 won't hurt, probably not the problem. Since it happens when changing the battery... it might be the battery positive pin deep inside the mod is sticking... try using, say, the eraser end of a pencil to "pump" it, making sure it actually does move. And, while there should be no leaking inside, cleaning that with the alcohol swab may help. Just give it 10 minutes to evaporate out before putting a battery back in!

I got worse as the morning went on at work and ended up leaving early. I had a fever of 100.6 for a while and was up and down again last night with sweats and a really bad headache. I called in sick today. I think I’m on the mend but knew it would be pointless to go to work when I got up at 5:00 and still felt so bad.

I never really liked those. I’ve got a ton of coils on hand so I’m not too worried about it. It would be a good deal for someone that liked them.
