The scammers are then spoofing his caller ID information. The number they want you to call likely goes through to the scammers. You do not want to call the number. If you call them your number gets logged and shared with other scammers. That is how they know you are a real person. The end result is you will receive more calls. The robot wanted me to call the number provided; it didn't ask me to supply any information during the call it initiated. If the scammers knew for sure that all calls placed to the number would reach them, then, sure, the attempt to steal could proceed. But, if Mr. Thiessen's number hads been cloned, as yours was, and I reached him, the scammers can't get a-scamming. It seems very inefficient.
I'm sure you have already been asked this, but have you tried vaping unflavored? Could something in the flavorings be causing an issue?
It could even be one particular flavor, or a specific ingredient in a variety of flavors, that's causing the problem.
I just got a rude reminder why I don't mix in plastic much. Brand new plastic bottle split up the side. Didn't see it till too late. Yup, major mess.
As I said, the initial call did not involve asking me to provide any information. I was simply told to hang up if I recognized the charge or to call the number provided--Thiessen's--if I did not.If you called Thiessen's number you would likely reach him. Scammers are banking on you answering their initial spoofed call(s). They spoof millions of numbers. And people fall for these scams all the time.

It’s sounds like you’re being very methodical. Hopefully you narrow it down soon. Are you washing your tanks and DTs between? Could it be something you’re washing them with?
Good ideaI am washing everything and rinsing very well. Also, I used a dripper to try everything the first time.
Believe me, there is no chance I'll call. For one thing, I don't have free long distance. If they want to steal from me, they shouldn't ask me to pay for the privilege. The scammers are then spoofing his caller ID information. My mother once hung up on a scammer, and he called her back all upset that she'd done so. It was hilarious.I got a direct call from a scammer years ago. I was in the mood to drag it out and piss him off. That I did and he hung up on me. That was my first and last cal.
Thank you.
Thank you too.

Holy guacamole! River Supply sent me the wrong thing and I didn't catch it until just now. I had ordered powdered nicotine and I was going to wrap it in foil and put it in the refrigerator. I had already unboxed it, and nothing seemed out of place then, but when I picked it up just now, it sloshed! So I looked at the label, instead of the bottle containing 1kg of powdered nicotin, it contains 1L of 1000mg/ml nicotine, and I got 2 bottles. That's equivalent to 20 liters of the regular stuff. My powdered would have made just under 7.5 liters. I need to put that in a calculator, but I've got more than enough nicotine for my lifetime. I'll send them an email letting them know about the mistake, but given the cost to send it back and send the correct product, I doubt they'll want to exchange it.
