Yes, that was it. And yes, it seems to be closed given they had an auction of their stuff.
How did you know? Eat there?
Google fu ;)
Literally put in “steak restaurant near Phoenix with ties hanging from the ceiling”. It always amazes me that Google can decipher exactly what I mean
I wish I had eaten there. I love a good steak. And, it sounded like a kitchy, fun kind of place.

Is it a secret? Or would you be willing to share?

I'll dig it out when I get a chance. The recipe mostly didn't come with quantities, shepherds pie was a good way of using up leftovers. And money was short so we had it with a smallish amount of meat mixed with whatever veg was in season, and a much thicker layer of potato on top. I had it in a restaurant in the US once. Really tasty but it was a bowl of meat with a half inch layer of potato on top. Didn't seem right to me.

Now Fran why would you say that?????
Just because I helped invent dirt is not a good reason either !!!!!!

:pervy:(phbbt)
My mom would argue with you over laying claim to inventing dirt. She was in a garden club with Eve back in the day. Friendship sort of soured though over carpooling issues. Eve’s boys were always fighting in the back of the station wagon. From what I understand, things went south for the boys. Of course, what would you expect? Their parents had been kicked out of the neighborhood by the HOA.

I just looked them up. I read the description of the Chow, and I still have no idea what flavors it has.
And yet, I ordered it. Idk, it sounds intriguing. I’ll wait for SMT or Hitt to tell me what I’m tasting probably

If I had not been around there never would have been an Adam to furnish the rib for Eve !!!!!!

Hey, I thought you said it wasn't so bad.
it really wasn't, I may have to try it again but with only like 0.5% bread (of course lowering all the other flavor % too)

hehehe maybe I should start my what to make with these crazy flavors thread again

isn't tiramisu a dessert? like a coffee cake type thing er well not coffee cake (a cake made to be eaten with coffee) but a coffee flavored cake

Yes - It is a dessert that usually consist of a few layers (usually 3-4 layers) of espresso-soaked "Lady Finger" (or strips of pound/sponge cake), then a layer of rich mascarpone filling, a heavy sprinkle of cocoa powder . . . Now if you want it to be more traditional add some Marsala wine in with the espresso . . . Some people will mix it up and exchange the Marsala Wine w/ Disarrano Amaretto/Kahlua/Frangelico/Dark Rum, etc. . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Speaking of restaurants that would cut off ties, there were two in the Dallas area called Trail Dust Steakhouse that did that. Men would actually attach their business cards to the ties. Ties were nailed all over the walls. One of the restaurants had a slide from the upper dining area to the dance floor.

These are the two mixes I always have running in squonkers:
    Van ADV

    1 TFA Vanilla Swirl

    1.5 FA Cookie

    2.5 Flavorah Vanilla Pudding

    3 Natures Flavors Vanilla

    Lemon ADV

    1.25 Flavorah Vanilla Pudding

    0.65 TFA Vanilla Swirl

    0.65 VT Lemon Meringue Tart

    0.65 WF Lemon Squares

    0.65 Cap Graham Cracker V2

I mix the vanilla a pint at a time, the lemon 8oz.

As opposed to the custard mixes, these are both shake-and-vape; though you'll see some changes over the first couple days, they're good right off the bat.

Both are pretty gentle on the palate.

I have a question, I have vaped ejuice that tasted acidic enough to give me heartburn (weird isn't it?) It was HHV's pineapple upside down cake - if that's helpful at all..

Now, eating a slice of pineapple upside cake does not, in fact, give me heartburn, its one of my all time fav desserts (simple and delicious, win win) so I don't know what was up with that ejuice that caused heartburn... but it did cause a pretty severe case, even if I didn't vape very much.

Since then, I've avoided any ejuice that is even remotely tart or acidic like the plague, but I'm wondering and thinking about revisiting that.

How tart is this lemon recipe? Is this more mellow and sweet or more acidic? This looks, going by levels alone that your keeping the tartness down, but I wanted to ask to be certain.

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans?

looking for cheesecake recipes today... i lost a few recipes that I had uploaded to LNW (Which I can now no longer get to) as I never got around to moving them to ELR, cheesecake among them.

So, I'm hoping to find something similar anyway and while I can't get up is a good time for hunting and trying to remember. That recipe tasted like feet until it steeped a few months, but after that it was pretty good...

    What you doing?

There are a fair number of cheesecakes In Zazie’s blog. That recipe that tasted like feet no doubt had cheese in it. Good stuff.
I’m getting ready to enjoy 10 days of silence. Dd and young son are going to NM to visit two of her grown kids that live there.

I find it relatively mellow. I'm also trying this right now:
    Lemon meringue tart (Vt) 2.4%
    Vienna Cream (FA) 1%
    Lemon Squares (WF) 2%
    Madagascar Vanilla (FA) 1%
    Vanilla Swirl (TPA) 1%
    Sour Lemon (VT) 0.6%
    Vanilla Pudding (FLAV) 1%

I wanted to try the FA Vienna Cream and Madagascar Vanilla, this is a decent starting point.

Leave out the Sour Lemon and it should end up at the sweeter end of the spectrum.
