Hey Opinionated, how do you wash your bottles? You've probably said before... sorry.

I have a TON of used blue Boston bottles and I'd rather clean the old juice out instead of tossing them. That's why I have a ton of them.

Your using the glass boston? I'd just use dawn dish soap and hot water and rinse really well... I scrub using straw cleaners and tiny bottle cleaners I make using wire and pieces of sponge...

its a little more difficult with plastics than it is for glass because plastics hang on to scents and flavors. For new plastic bottles I go an extra step with vodka.. but I've never needed to with glass...

Good Morning Mixers. Pipeline issues has the area running out of fuel. Dropped south about 10 miles into rural South Carolina (Buford) and there is already a $30 maximum. $10 in the gas can for the lawn mower, $20 and some fuel injection cleaner in the F-150.
Contact the bank and the veterinarian later, garden already watered. Mamaw is cooking breakfast. Retirement is so easy, for now.
I think you will love retirement. Only restrictions are the ones you place on yourself. I am busier now than when I was working. You are the boss you decide your schedule(if you want one) Would not trade it back for nothing.....

Morning, mixers. 40, heading for 70... no rain in sight for a week. Second summer of the spring.

Ok just did my little mix up. Seems 1% is just about perfect for Desert Ship so 120 mls of that.
Peanutbutter banana not so sure............ 4% TFA peanutbutter, .75% sweet cream & .25% banana.

Yes, a little bit of DS goes a long way ;) And keep in mind that you can add other flavors to it, i.e. cherry, vanilla, or others, for a "flavored tobacco" sort of mix. Just use the DS mix as a "base", and try with, say, 10 ml batches. Adds some variety to a mix you already like.

Plans... well, still have stuff from the town run to finish stowing. Used to be once every two weeks, but since Covid we've moved to once a month. Not sure which is more work.

Good luck. Doing good so far
Thank you very much Fran,

I'm on my way, next week I know what the store owner did not get, and then I can order the rest from Chefs. I have already started with list 2, but I can bake it in with the remaining order.

And, I have to try to read up on base recipes.

does doubling up on the dairy bring out more of the cheesiness flavor? I really struggle with the dairy type flavors ending up too often with that unpleasant funk taste. I often wonder if it's my tastebuds.
IDK I do have all the flavors except almond. With Ice cream its separated but in e liquid it will meld all together. I have a few cheeses including brie cheese.

I would never toss glass bottles. I rinse mine with hot water and just let them soak with hot water and a touch of dish soap. Rinse well.

I probably didn't let them soak long enough. They still smell delicious! LOL!

They're glass. I'll transfer to plastic dropper bottles on a per-use basis, but steep and store in glass.

I don't think that I put enough effort into the soaking, hence, the wonderful aroma of mostly-consumed juice. :)

Thank you Opinionated and Fran! I have dozens of those used 120ml (steeping) and 60ml (dispensing) glass Boston bottles in their boxes, where they were put after they were used, caps on, with the labels still dangling!

I wash my glass bottles in Dawn and warm water. I usually let them soak. Rinse well and if they still have a odor do a rinse with vinegar/water. I use to boil/sanitize but I'm accident prone. LOL one of the reasons I don't can my garden vegies and freeze instead.

Vinegar is the female version of Duct tape in MY house. :D
Vinegar cleans and sanitizes just about everything. You should actually use it before APPLYING duct tape.....

Bleach, vinegar and ammonia are basics in my house. I use bleach 10/90 for disinfecting my packages/food wrappers from grocery store. I'll have to do this forever post covid.

Can't STAND the smell of bleach or ammonia and both hard on my lungs. But I DO use vinegar for a lot and it works well. :)

It's a sweet sort of fruit flavor.
I have eaten both Lychee and Kiwi IRL. The lychee was just a bland watery sweetness about a quarter as flavorful as kiwi. I have no lychee flavor, and the kiwi's (TFA and FA) both seem more of a twang with the TFA more flavorful. Just saying.

Maybe we should have some fun on this thread and do a group mix project.
My suggestion would be a copy cat version of Strawberry crunch. Remember the good humor man and his strawberry crunch bar? This is a food copycat version.
    Strawberry-Crunch-Ice-Cream-Cake_EXPS_FT19_242521_F_0627_1-10.jpg

    • 36 Golden Oreo cookies, divided
    • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
    • 3 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
    • 5 cups strawberry ice cream, softened
    • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
    • 1 package (1 ounce) freeze-dried strawberries, coarsely crushed
    • Fresh strawberries, optional

    I missed a lot...
I have no idea what @Skeebo is talking about. In fact, he was the one that set me off with comments about "stealing from my mother's purse" Now he's doing it again and I have no idea what's he's talking about my wife and I and being a "felon". My wife and I are happily married and have been for 40 years. I guess he has issues from his youth... maybe dad was an abusive drunk? Doesn't matter... I don't let stuff get to me anymore... in fact (even though I didn't hear about what his wife is going through) I wish him nothing bad and hope things will be OK for them. Jeeze... all this because I posted list of my flavors with high % (which is mostly for my use)

To be fair I've never seen @Skeebo make an entirely untrue allegation so there must have been something said at some point that led him to truly believe that...

Don't know what it may have been but may be something for you two to attempt to resolve at some future point privately.
