I'm not sure about "crunchy" but I do get differences in the inhaale and exhale in a recipe.... especially the more complex ones....top notes on the inhale and mid and base notes on the exhale :)
I get a little something if I exhale through my nose, but that makes my nose run, so I avoid it.

ETA: And makes me sneeze (just tried again). It's too bad: I just experimented with everything in the current rotation, and I really do get more flavor when I exhale through my nose. Maybe if I keep on doing it, my nose will adjust. I'll give it a try.

Contacted WizaedLabs about the FREEDOM code for 21% off.
They are subtracting 8.88 from my charges.
Thanks to whomever shared that code with me :thumb:
Yay! I felt bad after mentioning the sale when it turned out you'd ordered before it started.

I grew one from seed last year, overwintered inside and growing on outside again this second year....only hope I can make it survive long enough for fruit bearing :)
It may not if it’s a varietal (most grocery fruits are hybrids, and don’t reproduce). I have a 16 year old one I grew from a pit ( haas). It’s a beautiful, non-bearing tree. They’re not cold lovers, so it may need to come inside for the winter.

Im trying a very well steeped bottle of Goofy’s juice that I made to try Ry4 double. It’s pretty tasty. Not all day tasty, but nice for a change.

Try something eggy like a custard or a heavy cream :)
I made a second tester with custard prem added. It moves it up to “good”, but nothing fabulous. I think it would serve as a good base though. I think you’re right though, a heavy cream to help with the mouthfeel is needed

Our cat is still alive. She seems stable but I think her kidneys are failing. I'll talk to the vet on Thursday if I don't have any adverse reactions to the covid vaccine tomorrow. We are giving the cat ringer's solution subcutaneously, a antibiotic, tramadol and remeron. My partner wanted me to feed her though a syringe but I don't feel right in doing that. It would be a forced feeding. I'll do what I'm doing and if its meant to be- she will be going to the rainbow bridge. I don't believe in extending life to make a animal or human miserable. I personally believe in hospice for animals.

I'm the same. My favorites hold their position not because I love them but because I can kind of taste them. If I can identify the general flavor, that's a bonus. It's for this reason that grapefruit, orange, mango, mint, dark berries, and cinnamon recur so often in my mixes. I'll continue trying new recipes and hoping they hit the spot, but so far 'most everything is pretty blah. Straight dessert recipes without a fruit component all taste more or less the same to me: like nothing much.
I have a tendency to try too many bakeries and unless they have cinnamon sometimes they all just taste like grease..

So hard. When they told me I would have to give sub Q fluids to my cat of 11 years, daily, I opted to euthanize. It seemed so grueling and painful, for both the cat and me.

Good day Mega Mixers,

Supposed to be 103 today, going up to 106 Thursday and Friday. Stayin' in as much as possible!

Makes our current 84 seem cool. If you're from Nevada!

Got the watering done before it got that hot, otherwise I'd be watering the gardens with salt water...

    How long?

It was two weeks steeped when I first tried it and I would say after another 2-3 weeks it was better. It was at least good enough that I was consistently reaching for the mod it was on.

Which one is 3% and which is 2%?

I did three on the vanilla and two on the regular.

Not fun hearing your big boss say how much he goofed off during the stay at home work. As I worked 2+ jobs and never goofed off. I wish I could find me a decent paying job somewhere else possibly doing something totally different that would supplement retirement. I'd be gone so fast!
Yeah I worked 2 jobs for most of my career, off and on. It always did irk me that my boss came to me when problems came up and I knew more than he did but he made the big bucks. He was always telling me I made him look good...umph.....wonder what he did when I retired? He whined about that too. LOL

I mixed the ssa ice creams at 3 and 2% with some raspberry and it wasn't very good at first. After steeping even longer I started to like it more.
Just how much more? Its been over 2 weeks now.

    :)

I switched to 810 drip tips for the same reason.. To taste it better. I know most don't like them but being bigger gives it a wider spread across the tongue. It works for me.
Oh, and you can taste it better thru the nose.....your nose knows. LOL
    :)

    :)

It was at least a month. Like zazie or someone said though, the ice cream mix has a dryness to it. If I mix it again then I might add some meringue.
