    Hard build?

First time out was a little awkward but next time will be easier. It came with a bunch of different airflow inserts but I didn’t change them since it came with the biggest one installed.

I believe in global warming. No politics but I do not believe in man made global warming. The climate has been changing as long as there has been an earth.
Everything is always changing. Nothing stays the same. Cause and effect, in complex systems which we do not fully understand, are not so simple to determine.

A while back I was browsing bakery websites and came across a Chocolate Marble Banana Bundt Cake recipe that looked totally awesome. After a few attempts, and some tweaking, I have it where I like it.

    View attachment 947255
    Choco Marble Banana Bundt Cake

    FW White Cake 3%
    FLV Pound Cake 1%
    WF Hazelnuts and Cream 1.5%
    VTA Banana Custard 2%
    FA Banana (Bano) 2%
    WF Chocolate Chunks 1%

    Optional: SSA Tiramisu 0.25%

Suggested steep time = 3-4 weeks, the longer it steeps the better it is. If you made 10mls your steep time would be less (~2 weeks).

I made 2 versions. One mix was with SSA Tiramisu for the complex notes tiramisu adds to bakery vapes. The other mix was without it.

I'm dripping the one with tiramisu today and it is very tasty. There is some sweetness that I would rate between 3.5 to 4. That is due to the tiramisu. Leaving the tiramisu out would bump the sweetness up. Made without the tiramisu you would be losing the complex notes it adds to the mix.

I used @FranC's base from her coffee coffee cake because, well, it is really good. :)

The chocolate note is there, on the lighter side where I wanted it. I didn't want the chocolate to be front and center. And I did not want it to detract from the cake base. It needed to be a tease. If more chocolate is desired bump it up to 1.5% and go from there. Going too high would make it more of a chocolate cake.

I also wanted this mix to have some nuttiness much like a banana nut bread or cake. WF Hazelnuts and Cream was the perfect choice. It lends the nut flavor I was after and a nice cream.

The two bananas work well together to create a fresh tasting banana that is neither green or super ripe. Together they fall in the middle. These are not candy like bananas. FA Banana brings a yellow banana and VTA Banana Custard adds more of a green banana. Banana custard adds creaminess and a nice bright vanilla note. It's custard is not what I would call eggy (as in CAP VC1). It leans much more towards the lighter side.

ETA: The bananas are not bold or out front. They're nicely tucked in where taste wise they fall nicely into the middle of the mix. Much like the cake IRL, I think.
Yeah yeah yeah. But, what about the cake recipe?

Well it’s been nice catching a bit of a break after all the reviews I had this month but things will be getting busy again soon. I got two emails today that more gear is on the way.

    More pods?

Vaporesso luxe 80 pod mod and I’m not sure what I’m getting from Dovpo. My guess would be an Abyss but don’t know for sure. This will be my first review for them. They just said they would send a sample.

Cool. I think people on the Shiny thread like the Abyss. But I'm not sure. I have a hard time keeping track of those AIO things.

Happy you like it. It is nice as is, I've vaped quite a bit that way. I'm still planning on adding a little chocolate to just the base. Thinking it would be like a chocolate chip croissant.
    Or Pain au Chocolat !!

That looks good. I want to eat that in real life, like right now! :)

If there was a scale for the DIY Not Sweet and it was something like a 1 being closest to a hint of sweetness and a 10 being completely not sweet, where would you rate it?

Think I just invented the Random DIY Not Sweet Scale. :D
I was a seven with custards but now I'm fast becoming a four!!

Yup...the Abyss is an excellent device although I've had a problem with one of mine draining the battery down to zero... they're sending a replacement so I've put it down to a glitch.

The Abyss is basically like a Billet box and any bridge that fits in a Boro fits the Abyss. That is except the Vapeshell....so if you have a BB the Abyss is a no brained....I have two and well worth getting IMO :)

Ya ever make that one juice ya can't get enough of? The forest fruit and vanilla cream recipe I came up with is that one for me it seems. I'm on my 5th 120 of this. I kinda over did the sweetener on this batch a little bit, sort of, but its still quite nice. Absolutely cannot describe the flavor either, the berries work so well with the vanilla cream that I cant separate them and say oh i taste berries or oh is that vanilla. And the cream part is just milky smooth and ties it all together. I shared this recipe in here somewhere but if anyone is interested, PM me.

brussel sprouts is among mine... but I love hazelnuts! lol..
So I'm guessing you don't want me to share my Brussel sprout eliquid recipe? I am not a big Brussel sprout fan, but I can eat them.

For me, the only things I really cannot eat at all are hazelnut, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, mushrooms, and garlic. Everything else I can at least tolerate.

I have no BB or any other device that uses a bridge. Maybe I'll look into more seriously one day, but it's not something that is high on my list. I admit that they are pretty neat devices. I remember liking the look of the DotMod AIO quite a bit.
