What channel had the air guitar documentary? I would love to see that. Anything that keeps one away from red/blue pollyticks, Covid pollyticks and Afghanistan is a good thing in my book.

BTW, I would be with the folks who are breaking new stylistic and artistic ground with air guitar. Traditional air guitarists are ummm, boring. I prefer playing my acoustic or electric guitars over air guitar. There is nothing like playing a real guitar.

I hope you guys have a great vacation. Don't fog up the inside of the car with your vapes. Be safe and have fun. :D

A new channel called Docurama just appeared on my Sling list. Stuff that would never appear anywhere else. There was a whole day of old WWII propaganda films last week.

I’m assuming the solar panels stayed on the roof??
Hope so. Mel hasn't said what if any damage they may have had. I'm still waiting to hear back from my last text. I seem to recall her saying at one time they have a generator or a Gernerac home backup? They're not very far from downtown NO. The airport is about a mile or so west of them.

I know she said they'd be good if those panels stay on. I'm sure she has a generator also.

Chronic pain sucks the life out of a person. No wonder you haven't felt like mixing.

Thanks Zazie for the feedback. I know that you understand it very much as well. It’s difficult for most people to understand what it does to you day after day.
I was actually one of those disbelieving jerks myself a long time ago. Karma?

I post on my Twitter page quite a bit abt chronic pain and the difficulties of living with it. It’s helpful to have people who personally understand it in my support network. Also I get the latest studies, news, petitions etc to keep myself up to date on treatments and what the government is trying to pass. It’s similar to what we’ve been going through as vapers and the vaping industry as well.

    I hope you’re having a good day!!

Good luck Sara and welcome back

I hope you were unscathed by Hurricane Henri last week :).

Thanks so much! Fortunately for me we didn’t get hit badly from last week’s hurricane. Thanks for asking!

Only lost a couple roof shingles. I would say they did a great job building to "extreme hurricane standards". Sending me a video she shot of before it got bad once she is able to get someplace with wifi. Said she was too chicken to film after it got bad.

I cannot begin to imagine what going through a hurricane like that was like. Experts said it was like the equivalent of an F3 tornado going on for hours on end.

Very glad the house stood up to the hurricane.

It's a very good thing their home was built to such rigid standards. Still...hearing everything going on outside for hours, especially at night...isn't something one forgets easily.

You're welcome to come down here for hurricane season some time and find out. ;) There are hurricane chasers, just like there are tornado chasers. We had 136mph sustained winds for hours the night Charlie directly hit us in summer 2004. Within 5 weeks, we had 3 come visit us : Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne. It got to the point that it was a regular "here we go again" routine to get ready for the next one. Seemed there was a big red X or bulls eye where I'm located right in the center of the state. That wasn't a pleasant summer at all. However, after being directly hit by Irma 2 summers ago...I'll take 3 like Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne anytime...instead of another 1 like Irma. That was the 1st one I ever felt afraid of, while it was hitting. Unfortunately, it's likely many who went through IDA had similar thoughts. :(

I'd still rather have our hurricanes though, than numerous tornadoes the midwest gets. At least with hurricanes...you have time to do whatever you can to prepare for them and/or evacuate.

    between here and there
My little BCF order got my attention when all 4 flavors are clear as a bell. I got Cap's sweet flavors, Mango, Guava and Currant plus TFA Blackberry.
Did you get Flv Black currant also? That's what I used Caps Sweet Mango for.

    :)

    Update from Mel via text...

    They are ok.

Their internet is down along with NOLA power. She is not able to get online to read or post on ECF.

From watching the news and reading "Nola . com" it's going to be some time before utilities and internet are back online.
I wish her and her family to stay safe. I couldn't fathom what they are going though.
