Sorry bout the mess
Sorry bout the mess
Gotta love the FA description.FWIW here is ExclusiveGirl's PSA on the green tea flavors.
PSA:
TFA Green Tea tastes like green tea with a little fresh-cut grass added to it.
FA Green Tea tastes like green tea with a little fresh-cut AZZ added to it.
FE Green Tea tastes like high-quality fresh brewed matcha green tea with nothing added to it and nothing taken away from it. This flavor cannot be subbed for any of the other lesser flavors.
I had mistakenly thought your absence would be work-related.Well tomorrow is a day game, so we probably should get home sometime in the evening. Or we might decide to stay another night and drive home Friday morning.
Nope. I spent the last few days getting ahead on some work stuff, so now I can go have some fun.I had mistakenly thought your absence would be work-related.
Well then, I hope you have lots of fun.Nope. I spent the last few days getting ahead on some work stuff, so now I can go have some fun.
3% must be for TPA Green Tea and for FW White Tea ???
Thank youYes, it is. Sorry, I tried to be generic (green and white), but I only use TPA Green and FW White. Off to fix my OP.
Yup. They're good.I've been thinking about turnips, and what they might taste like with mustards. I'm growing a few different radish varieties, and I wonder what the greens taste like cooked. They're pretty bitter raw. Anybody cooked radish greens?
You'll like them.Radishes are so easy to grow, wish I'd grown them sooner. Excited to see how the watermelon radishes turn out and taste like at harvest.
Using the TFA Green or the FE?
I somehow assumed @Katya was talking about the FE Green but I guess I better ask.
Interested in what you think of the SSA.
I checked the extensive tea notes @Katya kindly gave me some time back and 3% is for TFA green tea (or FW White Tea).
"If you like white or green tea (my favorites because they are more delicate), try them with creams and fruit and honey (at 3% tea), but don't use FA Green Tea--it's really nasty. I like and recommend TFA Green Tea."
She doesn't have the FE yet (was ordering it, IIRC). As little as 0.3% FE green tea is very noticeable in a mix with a light fruit like pear or apricot. Or with 0.3% - 0.5% white peach. I like FE between 0.6% - 0.8%. Over that it gets grassy tasting and loses the delicate nature of what a green tea is supposed to taste like.
OK, tyI forgot she didn't get the FE yet.

I'm just wondering if FE compares to FA in terms of quantity. Maybe FA in very low amounts would be fine too.I checked the extensive tea notes @Katya kindly gave me some time back and 3% is for TFA green tea (or FW White Tea).

Yes. Try using one, or the other, almond first and get that to where you want it. Then, if you need it, add the second almond. Bear in mind, if you add a second almond you may have to tweak the % of the first almond to get both where you want them. You may remember I made an almond raspberry cake thing recently. It wasn't bad and I am going to work on it a few times.
One thing that needs a little work is the almond part of it.
I used 1.5% FA Almond and 1% TFA Toasted Almond.
I think the FA Almond and the INW Raspberry (Malina) that I used played off each other and made a tarter almost cherry flavor.
Does anyone have suggestions for almond in a mix like this?
I'm thinking of going 1.5% TFA and 0.5% FA next time.
Bang goes my theory then...FWIW here is ExclusiveGirl's PSA on the green tea flavors.

I never said a wordThat's why I woke up at this ungodly hour! My ears were burning in my sleep.
Sorry...
Nope, I don't have the SSA or FE green tea yet. But they are somewhere in my carts. I had four shopping carts at some point. And now, thanks to @YoursTruli , I have a fifth cart--OOO. What do you like about that OOO Green Tea?
And FYI--I've been using TPA Green Tea because that's what HIC liked--it's OK, but nothing to write home about. I only use it as a background, savory flavor, never as a standalone. Now I'm on a quest to find a better one. I blame all of you.![]()
I tried FA years ago but it was in a mix....I remember not liking the mix and I haven't used it since.....maybe it's mellowed with age....I know I haveNope.![]()
