How would you compare the two different IC recipes? Is one lighter or richer tasting?

Basically they're just two different ice cream flavors.

Fran's IC Base is "richer" in the sense that it uses HA French Vanilla Ice Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, WF Vanilla Ice Cream along with SSA Vanilla Ice Cream. More vanilla flavor as well.

Mine is less sweet, also rich, but lighter. I do like the SSA IC's paired together. VTA Vanilla Ice Cream has a lower level of sweetness versus many IC's.

Next time I make mine I will sub VTA French Vanilla Ice Cream for the VTA VIC. VTA FVIC has a very low level of sweetness compared to any other IC. It's a really good FVIC.

Smartphones are a very useful tool but the downside is in how people choose to use them. One of the side effects of heavy smartphone use are people who aren't very good with face to face communications. Heavy use also decreases the empathic connection that people feel toward each other.

It seems to me real meaningful communications skills have gone retrograde.

My GGD is seven now. Her mother has the cell phone permanently stuck to her ear. For her entire life poor GGD has had to stop what she was doing 100 times a day and pose for photos. Her parents are separated and they both try to prove they are the better parent by going to interesting places and taking pics of the kid. Both parents wanted to call and do facetime calls with her multiple times a day whenever she stayed with us. We banned facetime from our house. For a while GGD hated phones. She loved staying with us because we never took pics or talked on the phone. I used to take her for long walks in the woods and collect seeds and flowers, stuff I used to do when I was her age.

I was starting to be optimistic about that generation. But lately when she comes over all she wants to do is watch crap on netflix and youtube. Her father and his wife have had 5 more kids in 6 years, they can't handle the aggravation so they stick them in a room with a laptop to keep them quiet. I'm glad I grew up before that stuff came along.

I'm happy I grew up before all that stuff too. Turning it all off, with no TV or music and enjoying silence is golden. Silence is calming. Since my wife died I watch way less TV. I get a couple streaming services for free with service from AT&T (HBO/Cinemax) and Verizon (Disney+) but rarely watch. Above all give me time in nature and I am in total heaven.

I was on a Dolphin fan page the other day and I find it strange seeing the game from the fan's perspective. Thousands of people in the stadium seats holding their phones up watching the game through their phone. Pure genius... (insert sarcasm emoji).

It's simply your basic vanilla ice cream. Variety is the Spice of Life.
