Quiet? We had to do an emergency run to the @Home store. I didn’t know it but my wife said we needed new lamp shades. Silly me for not noticing.

I would have needed help in that area too.. How are us guys supposed to know these things?

Did she find what she likes?

All this lamp talk has me reminiscing about the old rain in the garden lamps...

It was some kind of liquid wax that ran down threads to look like rain. I just checked Ebay and they are going for 1200. Makes you wonder how much the old Lava Lamps are going for....

Ok, I gotta ask. Is there gonna be football on tonight? Betting there is cause it’s the weekend.

Yes, I just got through watching the Aggies play Ole Miss. The Aggies ran out of time though. The score was 19-29.

I work both Sat & Sunday. Whew! One day down and one to go. I wish I had the stamina to work a full time job but I can't. I signed up to work Thanksgiving. I plan on making homemade New York Style pizza the day after or the day before. I haven't decided yet. I have to go find some 00Italian flour. I'll probably get the King Arthur version. I never knew one had to buy a special flour but I suppose I should. I'll make it home made. I'll make a German chocolate cake to go with the Pizza. Have a great weekend.

It's been a few cold days, but my broken down Volkswagen Van has been warm enough. I have a space heater in the van.

You scared me to death you know... I'm with Uncle on this one... I was ready to promptly move you into the basement. Lol..

King Arthur's shipping is high... Flat rate of 10 dollars my last two orders, seemingly regardless of what I purchased so I avoid ordering directly when I can or order enough for the free shipping.

You don't have to use 00 flour for pizza dough though... I make pizza dough a lot with just AP... Granted it's not as authentic Italian but it does work fine.

You are talking about regular King Arthur flour? It’s sold in the stores here.

Depending on what you want for texture, you can mix in some pastry flour too.
    Interesting read: https://homecookworld.com/the-best-substitutes-for-00-flour/
Recommends using AP flour for "normal" pizza, like @Opinionated said, but it all depends on you and what you want for chew. Besides, doughs and hydration, gluten development, and fermenting...gets complicated fast. Most pizza doughs are fermented and have that "beer" smell to them. Takes 3 days.

IDK for my location, it kind of flurried and melted, and then accumulated, and then melted...guessing an inch or two depending on how you count it.

Now it is going to accumulate again, 1-3 inches for today, and tomorrow's drive into work will suck at 4:30 a.m.
    Today's forecast:

lol. I'll just "wait a minute" and it will be better...soon. I hope.
