My wife watches those. It drives me nuts. There must be a hundred of them on our dvr.
My wife does the same, along with some 50 Shades of Black movie series. It all makes me cringe.

I don't know if they do, but it definitely isn't on the Hallmark channel. My wife loves that channel and their predictable shows, especially now for the Christmas movies.
All the movies are usually a love story about some guy who either does one of three things-- drives a tractor, raises horses, or is traveling to visit a girlfriend who stands him up. Sometimes the guy does all three.
The female love interest falls for him, but then breaks up with him because she doesn't like one of three things, a guy who-- drives tractors, raises horses, or really came to see someone else besides her. When it's all three the guy has to chase after her across state lines and they usually meet up in the woman's parent's house.
I watched one of those once, didn't want to but it was required. Lady was dumped by her ....... rich husband with a new baby and no money. She went to live with her sister and got a job as a waitress. The new guy spotted her in a coffee shop and moved in. He was tall and super good looking and younger than her. Turned out to be not just a pediatric surgeon but a world renowned researcher into child cancer. At the age of 27. And rich. He was considerate and respectful and understanding and generous. He pursued her relentlessly and she eventually agreed to a date. She got dressed up then squeezed the baby until it puked on her dress, so she quickly pulled on a ratty old sweater. But nothing would put him off.
By the end of the movie their relationship had flowered and he asked her to marry him. At which point she announced that she needed to be alone for a while to find herself and dumped him. Naturally he said he understood and would be waiting for her and stood there gazing admiringly after her as she strode off down the street without a backward look. Yup, I wanted to kill him.
I need to go watch some Oak Island repeats to clear my head. No girls on Oak Osland.
