The winds have really picked up here. It’s howling like crazy and we’re supposed to get a severe thunderstorm in about 20 minutes.

Just watched it on radar. Looks like it split and the worst went to either side of the city. I hope so at least.
Our lines are underground so we rarely lose power.
It would be nice. I was sitting at a stop light after work and my jeep was rocking from the wind.
Bit of fun last night at our town board meeting. I posted here a few weeks ago about large explosions late one night. Our town marshal was giving his monthly report and he mentioned it, said he had scoured the area the next day and so had the city police and they had nothing. Our marshal is a really good guy, part time cop and also the town manager.
One guy said we know what it was. It was two city cops setting off flash bangs on an abandoned sports field at the edge of the neighborhood. He heard that from several people nearby who saw them do it. They drove their cop car out into the middle of the field without a care in the world and had a party. Our cop looked a bit embarrassed and said they knocked on doors and talked to all the folks in the area and nobody said anything about seeing cops there. Then an old redneck guy stuck his hand up and laughed. He said, that a surprise to you Mike, that people wouldn't rat out cops, to cops? Marshal said OK, moving on to the next item on my list.

The winds slowed down a little for a while but sound like they are picking up again. I went downstairs and did a quick remix of the creamy strawberry rhubarb I’ve been toying with. This time I added some biscuit for a base that I think it was lacking. I’ll see in a couple weeks.
Winds have died down here and the temperature is in the mid 70's. I can't believe it's the middle of December. I walked to church this evening in a short sleeved tshirt and no jacket.
