Burning question of the day:
If I drink 27 root beers then go to the store for more, would I get a DUI ????????????
27 root beers

I would have to stop at a gas station, or three, for bathroom breaks before making it to the store for more! Or take a pale.

Ok - Caught up, nothing more to say other then I'm very disappointed and frustrated in ECF making this migration so difficult for their membership . . . Maybe tomorrow ECF will fix the site . . .

I love this for what it is. Too bad it wasn't filmed (at least, not to my knowledge), Miles Davis with Tadd Dameron Quintet in Paris in 1949, Miles' first trip outside the US. There he met and fell in love with Juliette Greco. They lived together while he was in Paris. She wanted to marry but he refused her because he knew how she would be treated in the US as the white wife of a black man.

The sound quality is terrible, but the captured spirit of the live performance makes it interesting. To me this is a postcard from a place and time, and a love story. This concert was almost lost to history, unreleased until 1976. I have some of the tracks as mp3.

This is lovely and clearly rare... unmistakably Miles though. I've always loved how the trumpet can sound so different depending on whose wind is going through it. Chet Baker for example....makes it sound so soft....not something the trumpet is known for :)

Morning Fran and all

Eventful afternoon yesterday. Came back from the hospital and found the neighbours dog out in the street....Dutch Shepherd. She'd just been spayed so we took her in for the afternoon until her owner could get back from Nice. She'd got under the gate. Here she is...very boisterous....oh well can't upload a .jpg....

Have a good day all....
