I suppose I should spill the beans......hubs has bone cancer. It's in one spot that can be accessed easily with pin point radiation so we have a hope of killing it......at least for now. He's in a great deal of pain and I'm really hoping the radiation next week will relieve that.

I try to keep busy with my DIY and stuff. Helps to keep my mind occupied. Not helping my thought process much.....Having a hard time thinking of ideas. Maybe it's not my mind at all but the fault of the so many flavors I've collected...........
So sorry to hear this, try to stay positive the prognosis sounds good.

(((Huugs))) @FranC keep your chin up and keep marching. We are all rooting for you.

Life is so precious, and it can take a long time to realize it. I'm home, the hubby has hives so I am happy I am. He's a medical idiot he texted me to "find out what dose of Benadryl to take." I like, flipped out and gave him a rapid stream of instructions including "you call 911 BEFORE you stop breathing, you'll notice!"

Has been a crazy week, culminating in staying late (again) to help a very Christian and lovely doc assist herself in facilitating a klddo's abortion. I have realized why the docs love me, they come to me all hesitant, like, "Could you please stay 5--10 minutes late to help me get through what I don't want to..." and I'm like, "Yep, that's my job, to do the stuff that sucks and you don't want to/know how. I am basically trained in all forms of SUCK."

I mean, I am no fan of the situation, it is sad, but I am also like, "Okay, kid does not know parent, kid was crying because, as she said, "I was just feeling my feelings. I'm not ready for this."

So by the time the doc returned, she was like, more composed and also, less sad I hope. She was super relieved that I had gotten to the point of "Okay so you want to do the pill way, we need to get you seen ASAP and yes, mom, condoms can break but that does not sound like the situation here, so birth control and VD testing, too, if you don't mind."

I felt bad, because I was just composed but the doc was like, "OMG thank you so much." I felt so bad I offered to loiter around because I thought the doc was upset but I think she had to do a bit of crying alone in the office. I think it's different when you actually are doing the referral for one. Because it's just never a celebratory experience on the best of days. Because sometimes life sucks, but it is also extremely precious. I just realize that more and more as I get older.

OK,my next endeavor is to go through my drawer section of steeped juices again. Anything just so-so is getting vaped or dumped.I'm at the point that I have several really good mixes and I don't see any point in saving so-so stuff. I can hopefully make better use of the bottles.

Tried my Blue Cheesecake from back in July and it's very much so-so. Put the tank on my desk pv and gonna vape as much as I can. If I can get through half the 30ml bottle I'll consider it a win. I'm really growing to love my 15ml bottles more and more.

I use the plastic 10ml bottles for tests. That way if I don’t like it then I can throw it out and don’t feel bad about wasting.
I have a few of those also that I like. I got them when I ordered from ECX and the top opening is bigger than a lot of plastic 10ml.

You may have been thinking of the YWCC reviews. I have seen more than one prolific reviewer mention that it only requires 3(ish) days.:)

As I mentioned above, I think it is the custard that is stretching this out to a week (which is still pretty good for custards in general).

If you found it too rich; I am not overly optimistic that more time is going to help. In my personal mixing experience, I find richness tends to hold steady, or increase with age. If this second attempt fairs no better, maybe think about cutting back the custard by 0.5-0.75%

I have learned, for my own personal tastes, that custards are often too rich almost to the point of being "heavy." Of the different custards I have worked with (TFA, CAP v1&v2, FA, and INW); INW is the least rich/heavy. But, I can see where it can still be overpowering... especially in combination with cheesecakes (which share a similar problem for me).

I was thinking of the Vanilla Custard Cheesecake recipe although I do let it steep a little longer than the recommended. No doubt mixers follow the lead of others :)

For the Creme Brulee recipe I have FA Custard and FA Custard Premium. Premium might be too rich as well unless I reduce the amount. I have not tried my second attempt yet but if I still find it too rich I will drop the INW Custard.

Appreciate all of your comments so thanks much for this.
