A lot of apocalyptic shows make the dead come back but I’m glad they didn’t go that way. At least not in the first episode.

They don't come back in the book, so I didn't expect them to rise in the show. King and his son Owen were involved with the production, and I doubt if they'd have okayed such a liberty.
