I would just do a tester with the Cranberry you have(FLV?)and with tfa ripe strawberry.(or whatever strawberry you have on hand).

    :)

Have you tried the pom pudding yet? I had to add some sweet cream and cap van custard. It had this aftertaste like the bb milkshake smelled so I am guessing the same stuff was used to make both. I hope the fix will work or down the drain it goes.

    :)

I’ve been vaping the Pom pudding every day for a while. It seemed like after a while that the tartness from the Pom faded out. I was thinking about adding a drop or two of the fe lemon to bring the tartness back.

Thank you. I'm about to start more than likely in January. I bought a huge supply of juice to last me a minute but I'm wanting to get into this since I have a PG issue (The Itchies)...:)
Starting your mixing journey, while you still have a solid supply of vapeable e-liquid, is not a bad thing.;) It can really help to take the pressure off of "getting it right," right out of the gate. It provides the luxury of "practicing" with simple 1 and 2 flavor mixes, that may not be the most exciting mixes you've ever tasted, but still provide useful feedback... and still have more familiar/satisfying(?) vapes to fall back on.:D

And, as for the "itchies;" I had a similar challenge.

I have been vaping since December 2012. My vaping journey led from lesser vapor-producing hardware (cigalikes to cartos), to higher cloud-producing set-ups. My personal smoking "trigger"(we are all different) happened to be the need to "feel" the smoke deep down in my lungs. The cloud rigs satisfied this need... I quit smoking, and never looked back. I began DIYing mid-3013, and was able to even begin tapering off the amount of nicotine I required to feel satisfied.

My problem manifested itself a bit differently. I was vaping 13-20mL of liquid a day (4mg/mL, max VG), and I started getting the old smoker's hack... heavy coughing, producing phlem (sorry; I know that's gross). I had a heavy chest throat the day, and I seemed to get winded easily. This seemed to be just as bad as smoking!:(

I didn't want to stop vaping (and not sure I could; even if I wanted to), but I felt like I needed to cut back my daily consumption. So, I decided to change the way I was vaping. I increased my nicotine level significantly (from 4mg/mL, to 18mg/mL). And, I ditched my cloud-producing DTL (direct-to-lung) setups, for low vapor-producing MTL (mouth-to-lung) setups.

I got my desired results. The high nicotine wouldn't permit me to vape continuously (without feeling queasy). And, the lower vapor-producing hardware, exposed me to less total vapor. All while still satisfying my nicotine needs.

My e-liquid consumption dropped from 15-20mL/day; to less than 3mL/day. The heavy chest, shortness of breath, and the hacks and phlem, all went away.

So... this ended up being the right solution for me.

I have no idea, if any of this, is applicable to your situation. I only share my own journey (so far), to suggest that there a lots of different ways, that an individual can adapt vaping to best suit one's own needs.

Maybe, minimizing exposure to PG (by mixing max VG, or using PG alternatives like distilled water, and/or PEG400), is your answer. Maybe, reducing the volume you vape, can help. Maybe a combination of things, will be your personal ticket to "itch-free" success. Or, it could be something else altogether.

Just, don't give up! Don't get discouraged. Keep plugging away. Keep asking questions. Keep trying new ways. And, you will ultimately find what works best for you.:D

I'm glad you found this forum, and this thread in particular. There is almost nothing vape related; that can't be discussed here. There is a wealth of experience, along with a diversity of viewpoints; from folks who are eager to share and help. Welcome!

Thanks. I usually use FA Marshmallow but am almost out and have TFA and the Purilum. It sounds like I can safely sub in the mix. I do appreciate the help.
I have routinely swapped, FA and TFA (not DX though) Marshmallow, without any significant/noticeable difference... at least to my sorry palate. As always, YMMV.;):D

I don’t. It’s one of my current every day vapes. I keep it in a tank on the blue Aegis mini (in your honor ;)). I used blueberry extra because that’s what I had. Maybe that made a difference?
I used Blueberry Extra also because it's not as sweet...............LOL

Thanks! I am a HUGE fan of Aurora and use it a lot in summer vapes for a lime bite. It tends to add a slight perception of carbonation too. It is what makes my Cranberry and Gin On the Rocks special!

Do you think FA Aurora could be used in place of VTA Fizzy Sherbert in the Lemon Sherbert recipe?

OK thanks. Have not placed an order yet as there is not much I need to buy at this time. My list is growing very slowly ;)

I LOVE FA Aurora but it isn't to everyone's taste. You would probably find more use for the VTA Fizzy Sherbet. It's funny because I had it for the longest time before I started using it in everything. :D Okay, not everything but LOTS of recipes. I love FA Aurora in cocktail vapes - it is great with Gin and Cranberry - the magic ingredient.

Thanks so much! I kind of figured there wouldn't be a lot of difference between the GOOD brands. I need to use up the TFA and the Purilum and if I can do that instead of buying more FA, mores the better!

I am vaping Ella's Shortbread Cookie and I thought it would be too plain but I like it. Also vaping my Hazelnut Cookie and so far liking that also.. Only have 2 bottles left in my new to try section.

I have high hopes for Ella’s. It only been steeped a couple days so I’ll wait to try it. I’m still trying the lemon meringue tart. To me it’s too sweet at 7% and could use more lemon.

I like the Ella's way more than I thought I would.

I plan on keeping hubby company going to his appointment with radiation tomorrow but I hope to get a little early morning mixing in first. At least one recipe would be a start.I get antsy when I have no steeping mixes.
