I went through a similar situation a few years ago after Spectrum bought Time Warner cable. They kept raising the price and the service got worse. That’s when I switched to Google fiber. I liked their service but they discontinued the tv service here in our city.
Yep. Spectrum was the culprit here too. I kept their internet service and just ditched the cable.

We have Prime. I figure we buy enough stuff on Amazon, that the free shipping pretty much covers the cost of Prime most months.

I was looking at Paramount+ today, and they have a bundle deal that includes Showtime for $9.95 mo. I might give that a try and check it out. I'm a Star Trek fan and the new ST's on Paramount look appealing.

I switched from spectrum to Google fiber internet and tv. Great service but for some reason stopped the tv service here in our city. The gave me free mesh WiFi hubs and we switched completely to streaming. We have way faster internet with Google than we ever did with spectrum. I got paramount on a special for $2 a month for three months but plan on keeping it. I can always find something to watch on it. We also have Disney, discovery, Netflix, and Hulu.

I did the same thing with AT&T Uverse last year. Kept their fiber internet and said heck with Uverse. Went to streaming and seriously wondered why I hadn't gone that route a long time ago. Your daughter sounds like a hoot!

Yeah, I dropped Uverse a couple of years ago and moved to streaming. It's fine and a lot cheaper. The one thing I miss is the Uverse channel guide. It's way out the best around. You could type in the name of a show and it would list all occurrences on any channel for the next 8 weeks and let you mark them for record. It gives the production date of every show and film, list of actors, etc. Now I have to move between 2 different crappy channel guides plus Prime which is even worse. Got HBO for a few months to watch Game of Thrones then dropped it. I do like the flexibility.

Hey all, got the foot appt and bloodwork done and then we got food and came home. I ate and took a nap and now am rarin' to go.

@englishmick I started a Survival save on NMS and am 20 hours in. Way different with the limited storage! Having fun!

Never tried Survival, regular is tough enough for me. There's a lot of new stuff I haven't touched yet, like squadrons. And I still haven't managed to defeat the upgraded sentinels. Just getting around to trying the new weapons.

Apparently hardware is starting to get past the supply problems and prices are coming down. Might be time to get a new computer. I can't play most new games on my rusty old machine.

Yes hardware is so important for updated games. I have a Xbox Series X but only a few days ago got a TV with HDMI 2.1 so now I get all the cool features like 120 fps. I have no problem with sentinels on Normal but they are tougher on Survival - everything is deadlier and resources are harder to find. But it is fun for now that I am past the first part. Now I have a Nitrogen gas mine and am going to build a Activated Indium mine. :) Gotta get $$$ somehow! :w00t:

I've read that older mix formulas need adjustment for modern devices and figure that it can't be as simple as cutting the percentages by half across the board or such.

Learning how my flavors taste and interact would be the key, I guess, but I was wondering if there might be some tips you folks could give me for whipping up a few quick test batches to get my feet wet.

    Here for example,
    TPA Bavarian Cream @ 2.00%
    TPA Dragonfruit @ 14.00%
    TPA Vanilla Swirl @ 4.00%

Thank you for any advice or tips you can give me!
I cut most of my mixes in half, works for me. I do not like in your face recipes.

With MF Guava I added 4 drops to a 16oz mug. So 2 drops per 8oz. It could have used another drop or two.

It all depends on the flavor and whose it is. I also did FA Strawberry (Red Touch) and added 6 drops per 8oz / 12 in my 16oz mug.

Funny, just like with DIY I always start low and add more if I feel it needs more flavor.

And what the heck, we have all these flavors, might as well whip up some decent tasting flavored water.
Thank you very much, you have given me food for thought, I appreciate it.

    Thank you!

From the help I've gotten so far, it seems that halving the older formula percentages will give me a good starting point until I begin to learn how my flavors work together.

I did save the elr notes for each flavor, but many of those might be a bit dated regarding percentages as well.

I've been using the Google Mesh WiFi system (3 hubs) for about 5 years now. It's worked great. Two thumbs up from me.
I looked through Paramount's channel & movie lineup yesterday. Lots to choose from. Like you said, I can't see not being able to find something to watch there.

    Felicitous Friday, frothers ;)

Gasp, TWO dry days in a row! What'll they think of next?

Having spent much of yesterday gathering, likely burning today. Burn pile has been growing for a couple months now, so, yeah, before they get scared from too many consecutive dry days and slap the ban on early.

Just for giggles. What’s everyone’s favorite RDA and RTA.??

RTA, still the venerable KF2L and Coppervape Skyline. Don't use RDAs, even for testing, since the topper does have an impact on flavor. I like to test on what I actually use.

As others have typed, yes, cutting in half is generally a good starting point. (Although with this particular recipe, I might keep the Cream about 2...added smoothing.)

I put a couple mods up for sale on the classifieds. Do you think $35 shipped is too high for an Asmodus Lustro or a Swag 80 kit with tank? Shipping will probably be around $8 so I wanted to cover that and make a few dollars. I just didn't know if I was asking too much.

I was just having a browse around at Essential Depot and it looks like they have VG/PG on sale.
Not sure if prices are good compared to other sellers, but figured it might be worth the mention here.

Depending on how much you're looking for, it might be good to look at how the various options might work together.

    I think that's fair Hitt.
