    Somewhere between here and there
No you would not. I closed my Prime account over a year ago and am able to see anything that is on Prime. I can basically watch what is offered on any IPTV (Internet Protocol Television). Examples of an IPTV is Sling, Hulu, Netflix, YouTubeTV, Prime, and the list goes on.

I started out years ago with a Roku. I am not sure about the new Roku's but the advantage of a Firestick 4K is that I am able to sideload my own APK (Android Application Package). In simple terms, it is just an app that is like on a phone that allows me to watch movies, shows, and live tv. No more difficult than installing an app.

I have been streaming for years and believe me if I can do it, it is quite easy because I am not that techy. It is just a different form of watching tv. I like it because there are no commercials. (you can pause anytime for a potty run). There is no need to DVR anything because I can watch whatever I choose when I want to and of course, because it is free. Hope this answers your questions. Sorry if I got carried away.

So what service do you pay for that allows you to watch all of those streaming services?

    The Firestick 4K. That's it. I'm a frugal gal.

I fail to see how that’s legal to have access to all the content of those pay services without paying for it.
No, it is not illegal to stream. It is illegal to download or sell for profit. All I am doing is viewing a show. The Firestick has over 50 million users in the US if I googled correctly. Then there are all the other Android boxes that are sold. There are a tremendous amount of people who stream. I suppose it is all how you look at it. For example, I will not watch movies that are playing in the theater because I don't feel it is right (although most people do). But after it is released to other IPTV services, I will. I would not be doing it if I felt it was against the law.

I don't think it is illegal Hitt, they are for sale all over the internet. Sideloading a Firestick takes about 5 minutes and is easy to do.
So you know all about them. I would not have tried to explain it in such depth if I had known that. Sorry. I get carried away most of the time. heehee Now I'm surprised that you don't have an Nvidia Shield. That is a very popular streaming device, especially for gamers such as yourself.

I'm with @hittman here, confused. I have Firesticks on my TV's, plus I have Prime and Sling. Are you really saying there's an App you can load on the Firestick that lets you get all the streaming services for free, and it's legal?

It's like Napster came back from the dead.

It sounds too good to be true. And if it is true why are millions of suckers like me still paying for streaming services?

Now I do not know what that is. Yes I sideloaded a FS with Kodi years ago but things are different now I'm sure.

Legal? Yes. That is my understanding and yes, you sideload the apps that allow you to do that. They are free there are a bunch of them.

Kodi is still going strong but I have never been a fan. Too fiddly. I ALWAYS prefer nice and easy.

Nvidia Shield is an android streaming box. It puts Firestick to shame as far as performance but is pricey. I actually bought one and loved it but returned it because the game thingy would not charge. There are comparable android boxes available that do just as much.

Oops, I did it again. Probably explained too much.

I need to clarify. The APK's that you sideload onto the firestick offer sections on the guide. Examples would be Playing Now, Trending, Romance, Sci-Fi, Hulu, Prime, etc. But each apk that you sideload includes the shows that you are watching on your paid service.

There are also Live tv apk's that play shows like Showtime, Cinemax, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, HBO etc. I never watch those myself. I will also add that probably every Over Sex Anonymous member probably has a streaming box. That is all free also. TMI

I’m not judging you. I was curious since I pay for a few different services. I wanted to know more so did a little reading. You might want to take a look at the new law that was passed December of 2020. I saw this while I was looking up information on it.

This loophole was recently closed, however. An extensive COVID relief bill passed in December 2020 included measures that made illegal streaming a felony. This means that under US law, using illegal IPTV services can lead to jail sentences of up to 10 years.

Lost episodes of the Golden Girls or 10 years?

    Choices.
