OMG successfully didn't die today (go NY resolution!) but I for sure thought about it. I called in sick (I never do that for my first 90 days but I would have seriously felt bad inflicting that on my coworkers, and I just couldn't..)
My computer monitor died this morning also. It's all fixed up for about a hunnad dalllas and a HEAP of aggravation from Best
buy. I've always hated that smarmy place and like, the Sierra Vista version is even worse. SV seems to be this magical IT land where *I* know more than the "IT professionals."
That is just tragic. But yeah anyway I ended up with a monitor and a connecting cable that looked like 2 blue lego things that you screw in they are called V something, I forget. I called the head guy to complain and note over and over that the dude told me to use my HDMI port, only by the time I got to the end of the call I was no longer sure electricity existed. It hurt my head so I texted pics to the husband and he concurred that they should be renamed "Last Choice" as well. And I got my cable from CVS because I realized if indeed I was returning to work (doc who was capable lady said I would no longer be infectious) well, I was definitely going to need some matronly "Poise" or "Tena" pads or whatever brand of "I can no longer control my bladder I'm old and I had to many kids and not enough kegels." Or whatever.
I don't mind I wore those for 18 months while contemplating quitting smoking. Feels like coming home. Hopefully for not too long.
