I saw that one yesterday and saved it as well!
If I get around to mixing it I'll probably have to try FA Bilberry in place of the VTA. (unless BCF picks it up by then)
I plan on doing the same. I only have FA bilberry
I also saw that recipe on FB yesterday. LOL
If you guys make it and sub FA Bilberry for VTA Bilberry Ripe 1.5% start the FA Bilberry very low. Flavour Art's bilberry is very highly concentrated versus most of their flavors.
It's a bold flavor and a darker tasting berry. And it can very easily "dominate" a recipe.
FA Bilberry is not sweet like an American blueberry. HIC suggested starting at 0.5%. Personally I would start it at 0.25%. But I wouldn't use FA Bilberry in that recipe. FA Forest Fruit might be a better sub (0.75% - 1%).
Folks on ELR say VTA Bilberry Ripe is sweet, candy-like, blueberry jam, juicy blueberry. Based on their descriptions using another blueberry flavor that has a light tartness would likely be a closer representation of the intended recipe versus either FA.
