The neighbor my wife walks the dogs with was diagnosed with lung cancer a few weeks ago. She is 70+ so she has Medicare plus a UHC add-on plan. She has no savings and minimal SS so everything is paid for.

After weeks of tests they came up with a plan, radiation starting today, a break, then chemo starting a couple of weeks later. Yesterday someone called to say UHC changed their minds and wouldn't cover the radiation part. They had her down for something called Proton Beam radiation but UHC don't like that because it's more expensive. They will cover some cheaper type of radiation that's more invasive and won't work as well. They put off the radiation until Thursday so the medics have 48 hours to try and pressurize UHC but if that doesn't work they have to go ahead.

They gave her a 7% survival rate, now this.

The BIG question is "Has DLKnives got his PS5 yet?"

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I can't believe I bought my first gaming console, the Atari 2600, 45 years ago but I am still excited to get a new system. :w00t:
I had an Atari 2600 as a kid. One year many years ago my wife got me a Sega Genesis for Christmas. I played that one a lot. I had a PS2 and an Xbox. A few years ago I bought a PS4 and played it some for a while but haven't turned it on in several months. I had a tough time getting used to the controllers on the PS4 and it seems like a lot of the games are fast paced and I kept getting killed so lost interest after a while.

I have a tough time also using the PS controller. I bought a PS3 a few years ago to play God of War and had to constantly look down at the buttons to see what I'm doing. The controllers on the PS5 have a ton of features but also have short battery life. It'll take some getting used to, for sure. They have some great games for the PS4, you should check them out. The Last of Us 1 and 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and others I really want to play.

I really liked the WWII game but it was hard and I couldn't get far into it. I played the Avengers game and the latest God of War on it. I also got GoW3 that was a throwback. That one was ok too. I think it was Call of Duty 4 that came with it as the free game and really didn't care for that one.

I don't play the CoD games, I suck at them. Any multiplayer shooter is a no go for me. This PS5 comes with God of War: Ragnarok and I'm really looking forward to it.

    I don't game, either.

I had my doctors' appointments today. The plastic surgeon said my incisions are healing well...finally. But I have to wait a couple of more weeks for the sutures to come out. :bluewink: I have a followup appointment in 2 weeks. That same week I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy. My root canal, that was originally scheduled for Thursday and I had rescheduled for next month, because my mother had thought her surgery was scheduled for Thursday, managed to get back on track for Thursday. I'm being poked and prodded and incised from every end now.

ETA: I'm still on no nic juice for now.

I'm the same way, use to game a lot, and I have a PS4 too, but not been turned on in maybe 6 months, I still have a new game I've not even taken the wrap off, and when I do play, I just do the campaign, my son complains I put it on easy, but I don't want to play 1 level 20 times to get to next level.

That’s how I am. I choose the easiest option. I just want to play without doing the same thing over and over.
