I am about to enter a busy weekend. Germanfest starts tomorrow and unfortunately there's rain in the forecast. I have physical therapy today and then have to drop Belle off for them to try to fix her Bluetooth phone...again. We are going to get the booth setup today, and tonight I have to make a large batch of potato salad.
Potato salad sounds good, what's your preferred potato to use? yukon gold? I find it tricky to get them cooked just right without being mushy.
Good morning. We have the NFL draft here this week so trying to drive back and forth to work might be a nightmare downtown.
They gave us russet potatoes. This isn't your traditional yellow mustard potato salad, but German potato salad, which is served hot.

Summer continues, since we're looking at three consecutive days without rain and temp above freezing (Actually got to 70 here yesterday, and the warming is said to continue through the weekend.)

I didn't find much in the bureau drawer I had left to look through or the Chest of drawers but I listed what I found. Now I'll move along to the closet and the plastic drawer thingie.
There is Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City Missouri. They border each other and I could be in Kansas in just 10-15 minutes from my work location. However, we have the professional sports teams and stadiums in Missouri.I never understood why Kansas City is not in Kansas.
I got the latest covid shot yesterday. It's designed to combat some new strain that's moving in. There's another one coming in the fall. This one knocked me back a bit. I got the sniffles and a headache, plus I'm really short on energy. The worst reaction I've had from those shots.
Last night I went to a GGD softball game. It got cold halfway through the game and I had the shivers so bad I had to go and sit in the car for a while. Guessing that was a covid shot side effect as well. Kind of an odd game. For some reason this season they merged kids from 3 different years so some were quite good and some were completely new. They don't keep score, I guess so it's just fun rather than a competition.
There was another odd thing going on. Apparently they include kids with disabilities now. There was one kid with no uniform, just a black hoodie and jeans. She hung out on the edge of the field where the sand part meets the outer grass part. She paid no attention to the game, just ran back and forth drawing lines in the sand with her foot and dancing. Another was put in as a catcher. She got down on her knees pointing sideways with her glove hand on the ground and didn't pay any attention to what was going on. It's nice that they are included like that.

Just sitting down for my lunch break. Still thinking about the Abyss that quit on me. I am kicking myself for not buying another one when they were on clearance. I'm running my tidal version now with the sbs kit on it. I am going to keep an eye out for another black one if they go on clearance somewhere.
