Dd told me the builder plans on coming through the wall next week. Can’t be any worse than today. SIL took out my baseboard heater which was a process. Then Dd and SIL rerouted 2 of my outlets. One more needs to be done tomorrow. It has to be done before the workers come through the wall.

Good luck with not spending a fortune.
I wouldn’t say a fortune. We did pick up a new big light for over our garage. Most everything else was just regular stuff.

    Hello everyone,

Fairly long-time (10 year) vaper here. Did a little flavored and tobacco but mostly nonflavored, mixing my own concentrations around 0.5mg/ml to 1mg/ml. Back at ECF after a long time. Basically got some Dicodes and Kayfuns back in (2018) and clocked out. Got curious about the market and discovered [SBS and boro] mods and decided to try my hand at DIY.

Loving the coil longetivity of DIY, so it's a project for me now. Mostly fruit vapes. Pleasantly surprised about: just how good single flavors are, how easy it is to experiment with flavors, and how how good the flavor is and how long wicks last without added sweetener.

If y'all are interested, will try to log my progress about learning DIY here. Currently love Fuji (FA), Sweet Lychee (CAP), Honeydew Melon (CAP), Honeydew (TFA), among others. Favorite mixes include 5% Fuji (FA), Sweet Lychee 3% (CAP), and [Grape 3% (INW) + Honeydew Melon 3% (CAP) + Fuji 3% (TFA).

Good morning mixers. I need to charge my laptop and get working on a review or two. I haven’t had the stuff for long so not ready to finish up any reviews yet but can start collecting information and organizing pictures.

How long are your wicks currently lasting you?

FA Fuji is one of my favorite apple flavors.

Good morning random folks. :) Have you any plans today?
Did you do Sunday shopping this morning? I’ve got my laptop charging and am going to do some work when it’s done. I put up the new light above the garage door outside but now the wife is looking for one by the front door.

FA Fuji is one of my favorite apple flavors.
    Thank you!

To blanket caveat my report: I use cheap Cellucotton rayon, I like restrictive MTL (1mm-1.2mm depending on the atomizer), I like tanks, and I've mostly stuck with Kanthal round wire (tried and true 26GA @ 2.5mm ID between ~0.7-1ohm depending on the atomizer).

The oldest wick right now (I only use the cheap Cellucotton rayon) is in my Kayfun X and it's gone through about 120-150ml with no signs of stopping. I'm still dialing my tails in because the X doesn't have adjustable juice flow. My current build has the tails cut by 35%, which is the absolute smallest amount I'm comfortable cutting (from prior experimentation). Very little gurgling now when I refill the tank as long as I vape right to the bottom.

As the Rayonatti here would expect, with 65% tails the first couple of tanks had that muted funky flavor. The funk stopped at about tank 3 and flavor was acceptable. But I'm very happy to report that the wick really opened up at about 60-80ml, and exhibited that classic super saturated rayon flavoring again. Very happy with the Kayfun X now, though the top cap always leaks a drop after I fill it.

I fully expect the wick to last at least 300ml. My next wick will be a 50% cut.

I'm not sure why people say that they have trouble with Kayfuns and fruit flavors, because I get all of the notes at even lower flavor concentrations in both my Prime and X.

FA Fuji is just like biting into a Fuji apple. It's great!

Good morning random folks. :) Have you any plans today?
Got my BP Mods Pioneer Insider from HealthCabin yesterday, in only 13 days! Cleaned it yesterday and set it out for the internals to dry completely.

My plan is to coil and wick it. Juice wells looks very small so I'm going to try a 50% or greater cut of the tails. I'm excited to jump into the world of rebuildable boros. As a former tube mod purist, I can now admit the form factor is just fantastic :)

    Morning, mixers.

Claim is the rain will back off today, just like they said for yesterday. And got wrong. We'll see...

The funk stopped at about tank 3 and flavor was acceptable.

I soak and fire a few times before buttoning up the topper, and that pretty much takes care of that for me. Yep, rayon.

Yup, standard operating procedure for rayon but it wasn't enough for the 35% cut in my case. I kept vaping through the funk nonetheless in the name of science. Only needed to go through about 10ml until the funk went away, which wasn't too bad.

As a comparison, I get almost zero funk from the beginning if I cut tails at least 70% even if I don't soak and fire. Rayon has zero weaknesses and is very forgiving in atomizers with juice flow control.
