Ordered something recently. First new thing I noticed was the 15% Indiana vape tax. A few days ago it showed up on tracking, order initialised or something. Still doesn't show as shipped. Clicked on detailed tracking info and it's coming through an outfit called Better Trucks. The previous one I ordered a few weeks ago came by USPS and they didn't ask for a signature.

Nope. Never heard of them.
Looked them up, they're a regional carrier.
They have a D- at the Better Business Bureau. Many complaints.

I heard somewhere about one of the vendors using a private delivery service and people were complaining about it taking a very long time for orders to get delivered.
I’ve heard of it also with the complaints too but not sure what the services were called.

They appear to just be a logistics company, that farms out deliveries to other local carriers. I saw the term 'asset light' a few times on their web site, which means they have few (if any) of their own trucks.
Non asset based carriers are typically the middle man, that puts a particular shipment, or delivery, out for bid, to their list of local carriers. Their low bid usually wins the shipment.

Yes a big change. High for yesterday was 93 before it cooled down.That's a change, I think the cool is sliding down my way tomorrow.
