Wow, I am surprised at how crystal clear the WF Ice Cream (Dark Chocolate) concentrate is.

IMG_3201.jpg

That's WF IC Dark Chocolate on the left. On the right is WF's new Pudding (Milk Chocolate). Huge difference in clarity.

Both smell very chocolatey and each tastes good on the knuckle test. I will likely do 5ml SFT's for each.

I do like WF's other two chocolates - Chocolate Frosting and Chocolate Chunks.
Also like their White Chocolate (Milky Cream).

Yes - - - AND - - - Yes.

Safe for vaping if done at home? I'm thinking yes, but it all depends on the method used for extraction.

Medicine Flower uses the Absolute Gold Standard for creating flavor concentrates directly from fruit (and others like chocolates and vanillas).
The equipment they use we can't afford (LOL).

The blurbs below are from here.

Medicine Flower's proprietary technique delivers flavor potency and realism that is vastly superior to all the other flavor houses. Most of the flavor houses used in DIY create their flavors from off-the-shelf lab ingredients. I can attest to MF's flavors being significantly higher potency versus all other flavor companies. MF's flavor accuracy, or realism, is unmatched in DIY.

FWIW, a strawberry has over 350 individual compounds. The basic flavor houses (TFA, WF, CAP, FA, FLV etc.) create their flavorings based on those compounds.

For at home flavor extraction you have a few options. One is using an alcohol like Everclear and another uses glycerin and water. I sincerely doubt either of those will deliver highly concentrated flavors. Flavors made using off-the-shelf lab ingredients can vary the potency.

See how to extract strawberry flavor AND how to extract flavor from fruit.

Medicine Flower has three bases for their flavors - a bio-based PG which is derived from vegetable oil; a natural ethyl alcohol base and an MCT Coconut Oil base. We know the last one cannot be used for vaping. I use their flavors in the PG base. Virgin Vapor (of old and per VV's Annette) used MF flavors (and a couple others). Their caramel juice used the alcohol base, wasn't a problem, I was told by Annette to leave the dropper off the bottle for a few days and the alcohol would evaporate (it did).

I have MF's Strawberry flavor and it is hands down the Queen of Strawberries - - - no other company's strawberry comes close in realism. Strangely, MF's strawberry is one of their weakest flavors - yet it is still far more highly concentrated versus any other flavor company. Normally using 0.5% of a MF flavor will deliver full flavor - - - easily the equivalent of up to 10% using any other company's flavor. Their strawberry requires 1.5% - 2% - - - LOLz, yes still significantly less than any other flavor houses strawberry.

Do some proper research and I'm sure you will be fine.

If you extract from your strawberries - - - and you vape it - - - lemme know as I would be interested in trying some.

Long post, but you asked.

ETA: fixed spelling; LOLz
Thank you for all that! I appreciate it. And now that I know, I think I'll take a pass on that lolol

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis , and Arnold Schwarzenegger are making a movie about classical composers.
Sylvester Stallone said, "I'll be Mozart "
Bruce Willis , "So.. I'll be Beethoven."
Schwarzenegger announced , "in that case.. I'll be Bach ."

Reading how it's done looked like a PITA to me. Maybe it's not, but IDK.

You can't go wrong with the MF Strawberry, it's that good, 2% + 1.25% FLV Cream makes a rock solid strawberry vape. Only thing, all the MF flavors require at least a 4 week steep. IMHO they're even better after 6-7 weeks.

One of these days I'm going to purchase the VSO Strawberry. Every review I've read has it as a great, excellent or awesome strawberry flavor.

See this ECF post for SessionDrummer's review. I'm still deciding between the regular or raw (undiluted) versions. SD tested the regular at 5% and the raw at 0.3%.

VSO says their raw flavors should be used at 0.15% - 0.5% / median for the regular at 2%.
    LOL, 0.15% is two drops in a 30ml mix / 0.5% = 6 drops.

What’s everyone up to this Evening?

I'm currently contemplating what to eat for dinner. Not really hungry, might just have a salad or make a protein shake. Or nothing. IDK yet.

Other than that, unsure what I'm gonna do tonight. Currently have NatGeo's SharkFest on TV. Those are always fun to watch. Last night they had one on about Orca's hunting great white sharks, apparently that's kind of a new thing for them, they like the great white livers (super high energy meal). And that's all they eat from the shark, rip em open snag the liver and done.

These kinds of long holidays throw me off a bit, today feels like a Saturday to me.

    What are you doing tonight?

Interesting about the livers. Yeah, think they should stick with Monday holidays but that’s hard to do with the 4th. I have half my attention on a Swat show. Dd birthday is on the 6th.

What’s everyone up to this Evening?
Just got in a workout. Still walking instead of running. I tried running a little and could immediately feel the pain in the back of my knee.

I’m still enjoying the mango. I’m supposed to be getting a review sample via ups but they are running late.
