Comma Separated Variable, iirc. The file specifier, the part after the dot, lets the operating system know what kind of bits are in the file, so it "knows" what program to use to open it.

Hopefully, they get it back up by early afternoon so I can get purty, we’re going out to dinner for our anniversary (32 years!! ).

I soon won't have to worry about it thanks to Fran and a few others here motivating me to order a scale. That link she posted for the one she ordered did the trick for me. Now what do I do with all the syringes and long needles I bought?

Before totally getting rid of the syringes, you may still need some of the long ones to reach into big bottles for one reason or another and the smaller needles can be use by taking some of the flavoring into the syringe and using that as a dropper? Just a thought.
