    Morning, mixers.

We did get some rain overnight, but sadly at the low end of what came through, only 0.13" for us. But we'll take it, been more than a month since the last measurable rain, and even the dew has been mostly absent.

I'm sure the dandelions will appreciate it...

Glad you finally got some rain even if not enough. Hopefully more will follow soon.

Work has been ok so far this morning. The boss left for the second time this morning. We have a couple people coming tomorrow from the parent company. I think there’s supposed to be some sort of training.

Ug the dreaded training. Don't nod off and snore in front of everyone like I do

Woke up early to the sound of machinery in the yard. They are running a boring machine to lay pipes for the city sewer system, the main sewer around the edge of the yard and from there to where my grinder will be installed. Guy said they will finish up in a couple of weeks and switch us over. It's a complicated process and we've had around half a dozen visits so far. At least 3 more to go. They are supposed to repair all the ruts in the grass when they are done but I have my doubts about how well that will go. They will lay grass seed in the middle of august and hope for the best. It's too far from the house for me to water it.

    Hopefully some rain will fall.

Howdy random folks. I've just gotten back from the podiatrist office. It seems we have run out of conservative therapies for my foot and the only thing left is surgery. He believes that if I get the surgery soon, which he thinks can be scheduled, I can be healed up by the time I leave for Italy in October. I'm supposed to call this afternoon to schedule the surgery. I will also need to call the local postmaster, who is currently on leave, to clear being off work for a couple of months.

In other news, it's still hot here...currently 97 with a high of 103. Plus, it's predicted to be over 100 into next week with no mention of rain. I washed Belle today, so maybe it will rain after all.
