Deliver to my town? Nope. I don't think I'd ever trust a walmart or meijer employee to pick out produce
You can check and reject anything at pickup and you can ask for a refund when you get home if something isn't up to par at Walmart. I don't find a lot of difference in the quality or size of produce in the store so I opt for pickup. Before I would drive 45 minutes to pick up, I would find an alternative or compromise. Usually, if you ask for a refund/return, they will just refund the money and tell you to keep it (food items).

I'm just finishing my one cup of coffee for the day. Was sitting on the porch earlier but the air quality is bad from the wildfires in Canada. The smell of smoke is heavy. Our state DNR issued an unhealthy AQI and advisory for us that goes through Monday. Oh well, whatcha gonna do...........

Nice comfy temps though, it's 63° and sunny with a nice breeze, might make it to 68° later. Starting tomorrow we warm up into the 80s again.

It's currently 106, with a high of 108 and a low of 76. Our low temps are higher than your highs. Tomorrow it's predicted to be 109. No rain in sight. :bluewink:

That still a pain if you don't get what you need.

Yes but to each their own. My time is too valuable and that would make my blood pressure skyrocket as I hate traffic and driving unless I need to.

I had a delivery a couple of times when we had Covid. It was a good deal, got everything I needed. No fresh produce though, I imagine they would pick all the moldy beat up vegetables. I ordered some lumber from Lowes once, trying to save time when I was doing some construction work. Got a truckload of banana shaped 2X4's.

I usually use Walmart pickup, as I hate grocery shopping. Delivery isn't an option where I live. 9nly one time was I unhappy with produce selection. I had bought 2 zucchini and the ones I received were rather small. I had been charged by weight, so that wasn't an issue, but I had to go to the local grocery store to pick up more to have enough for supper. I don't routinely shop at the local store because their prices are higher and the selection is limited, but I will go there to pick up stray odds and ends and their meat market is the best. I will occasionally get smoked cheese and summer sausage as a treat.

I assume you returned the bananas.

Our grocery stores do pick and delivery. I assume WalMart does also. I ordered one delivery from the grocery store just once but no produce at all. I wanted it dropped off on the porch and that's what they did. Very neatly.

There must be major differences in Walmart's around the USA. Their store up here and their stores back in the city are not very clean. In fact, they are, ummm, kinda gross. I avoid Walmart at all costs.

But....... I do know some folks who really love their Walmart's ( cool :thumb: ).

We have a WalMart in Keene which is very close to here. The store has been there as long as I can remember and they keep it pretty clean. Of cource it's not a Super Walmart either.

I very much dislike Walmart and probably haven’t been in one in over a year. I’ll pay more to go elsewhere.
