Everyone gone from my rooms now and I have a bathroom mirror, towel holder and wash cloth holder. Also the bottom of the shower has been finished with caulking.
Dd still needs to do the trim tile on each side of the shower but don't blame her at all for taking a break. It's just trim.

    New recipe......

    Pizzelles.jpg

    Pizzelles (Custard Filled)

    SSA Soft Waffle 2.8%
    MB Classic Belgian Waffle 2%
    FA Zeppola 0.9%
    FA Cookie 0.7%
    FA Butter 0.5%
    FA Custard Premium 2%
    WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.5%

    Optional: OOO Powdered Sugar 0.75%

    Steep time = 4 weeks

It took me a fair amount of time to recreate the taste of a Pizzelle. In the end it was worth the time and effort. This mix totally freaking rocks. It's very tasty as is but also works nicely with additions (see below).

Pizzelles are an Italian creamy elegant and beautifully shaped waffle-like pastry filled with a condensed milk filling.

Pizzelles are also known as Trubochki or "Russian Cannoli".

I departed from going the condensed milk route after a few attempts. Decided to go with a creamy custard filling instead. It wasn't that the condensed milk flavors I tried didn't work. They did and very nicely at that. I just felt going with a custard was a better fit.

SSA SW, MB CBW, Zep, Cookie and Butter make an awesome tasting waffle base. One that can be used on it's own as a blank canvas for other ideas.

I didn't want the custard filling to scream "CUSTARD" - - - so WF VCE helped to tame FA CP's "I'm Here" notes. You won't taste any of it's eggy notes in this mix.

OOO Powdered Sugar adds a fine finishing touch to the pastry. Although, the mix tastes equally as awesome without it. OOO PS doesn't really add "sweetness" per se. It adds more of a finished bakery note (which is what it does best).

I have tried this mix with raspberry, with mango/pineapple, with coconut and with orange. Each was very tasty. This mix will work just as nicely with other fruits.

Also, I mixed this using WF Roasted Pecans and Cream. That was very, very tasty. This mix will easily work with other nut flavors.

A chocolate will also work. Go light for a chocolate swirl or go heavier for a total chocolate Pizzelle.

    @Zazie please and thank you.

I have a drawv on my Target 100 this late morning. In the drawv is my 2nd chocolate test mix (with Milkshake). I have one more chocolate test mix to try but not right now. I have the Choclate Biscuit I really like in another drawv and I don't want to burn out on chocolate. LOL

    Somewhere between here and there
Uh, microwave in the bathroom? So you can have a heated towel? :)
We have this long thing filled with beans or something that you can heat up to put on sore muscles. Works great to wrap around a sore neck.

    another new recipe.......

    chessmen-cookie-vpic.jpg

Chessmen Cookies + VPIC (Vanilla Pudding Ice Cream)

    SSA Crumbly Cookie 1.5%
    FA Vanilla Cookie 1.5%
    FA Cookie 0.8%
    FLV Vanilla Pudding 1.8%
    SSA Ice Cream Vanilla 0.7%
    SSA Clotted Cream 0.5%

Optional: 0.5% FA Butter / if more of a buttery note is desired.

    Steep time = 4 weeks

Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies are an awesome tasting butter cookie with an almost shortbread cookie texture. I've always loved their rich, melt-in-your-mouth buttery flavor.

Chessmen cookies were the inspiration for what I had in mind when I started working on this mix. I tried a few different cookie flavor combos before settling on SSA CC, FA VC and FA Cookie = the cookie base. Together they make a powerhouse butter cookie (one that can easily be used for other ideas).

SSA Crumbly Cookie is just an excellent cookie flavor. FA Vanilla Cookie, also excellent, added the buttery goodness. FA Cookie delivers the baked cookie edges.

I wanted a creamy vanilla pudding ice cream. After experimenting with a couple different IC's I settled on SSA ICV. At a lower percentage it still delivers an IC note. I didn't want the ice cream to overtake the lovely notes found in FLV VP.

FLV VP and SSA ICV were excellent together, but, I felt they were missing something to boost the creaminess I was after. SSA Clotted Cream totally turned this into the creamy vanilla pudding IC I was going for. Those three flavors together make a wonderful VPIC and one that could be used with other bakery bases.

Also made this using 0.5% FA Butter for a brighter buttery note. That was very smooth!!!

It's a very tasty butter cookie vanilla pudding ice cream.

I also made this mix with 2.5% WF Pudding Milk Chocolate for a cookie with a chocolatey vibe. WF PMC totally delivered a light tasting chocolate note. It also boosted the overall creaminess of the vanilla pudding ice cream.

I am very confident this mix will work with a fruit or two. A nut flavor? Yes, absolutely.

    @Zazie please and thank you.

Heather's hubby just got all the heat going in the 3 additions and now he needs to shut that off very speedy. He's also going to drop the plastic heating pipe into dd's new cellar room. No heaters there yet til she decides what she wants to do there.

I have one of those. You can use it cold as well. Good for necks either way.

How many rooms were added in all, Fran?

2 full size rooms on the first floor. One is mine and the other is off dd's office. She plans on growing plants. Upstairs the young one has a smaller but still roomy room off his bedroom. The last "room" is the basement space that is roomy. Dd has no plans for what she wants to do there yet.

We got the rain and thunderstorms. Hubby had just put the mower away when it started to pour. Great timing!

I did some mixing while he did the lawn. Then I checked in here only to see SMT posted some interesting recipes and of course I'm missing flavors for the bases (waffles and cookies). Sheesh. I'm trying to keep my flavor stash from getting even more out of control! SMT, you're not helping! But I'm glad you're ok, we worry about you.
