I go see my podiatrist today. I'll find out how much longer I have to wear this boot. I need to start physical therapy because my leg is definitely weak.

Today's high is 78 and cloudy, but only a small chance of rain until tonight. We didn't get any rain overnight. Thursday, thunderstorms are expected. I guess summer is officially over.

I saw the podiatrist and I'm still in the boot. In a couple of weeks, I can start phasing it out. I'm still not released to go back to work.
That's cutting it pretty close to 10/1/23. Isn't that when you wanted to be out of that boot?
My 2ml Zlide now has it's new mix which is a grey black tea. Yes it is a strange name but has black tea and earl grey tea along with vanilla swirl and fresh cream. I didn't know if I would like it but so far it's pretty good.
In my 5ml drawv I put just a little of the ice cream toffee that I added a little extra toffee to. Just a little because I was afraid it would be too sweet and it was. I had another mix I called coffee toffee so I switched to that without a rewick. It will take a few draws to make the flavor change but I can already tell it's much better.

Went for a nice long walk in the woods today. Something rare and very special happened. We were taking a break, I was sitting on a fallen tree, Carli dog was laying down and then a gorgeous Monarch butterfly landed on her back. Carli didn't even notice or feel it. I sure was freakin' STOKED though. It just sat on her back with it's wings open.
I knew if I moved quickly for my smartphone, to get photos, I'd likely freak it out. So I just sat there and admired its beauty. Then I very slowly grabbed my smartphone and Carli decided to move.
The monarch flew away. I gave Carli the hand signal to lay and stay. Watched the monarch land on the grass about 6-8 feet away and very slowly moved in to snap a pic and naturally it flew away before I could take a photo.
Oh well, it was totally awesome seeing a Monarch. It's very rare to see one these days. Sadly they are critically endangered. Since the 1980s about one billion monarch butterflies have been lost, or 97% of their population. All thanks to stupid pesticide use, loss of grasslands and human caused global warming.

I've been looking at more baking websites for new DIY ideas again today. Found a really good one that has all sorts of Italian desserts. Bookmarked a bunch that look promising.
