Good morning random folks. I awoke early this morning, as usual, but promptly fell back asleep, which is usual for me. I awoke at 9:10, nearly missing my PT appointment. I didn't get my morning coffee until after PT. Today will be hot, but it might storm tonight. The rest of week it's supposed to be cooler, lower 80s and upper 70s.

Bet you'll be happy to cool off.

You remember when dates were held as year plus binary minutes in the current year? I could actually look at the binary minutes and make a guess at the date within a week or so.
No, we used a 2 digit year, but my earliest memories were using punch cards for programs to be compiled, and UPSI switches. Talking about punch cards, our phone bills came as punch card with monthly total owing pre-punched. 1 month purposely overpaying showed us how that credit was identified. Yup.

I used to count up from 1 in binary to determine if I was under the weather.

    Along these lines?

Snickerdoodles are soft, slightly tangy cookies coated in cinnamon-sugar. Because they're rolled and covered in cinnamon-sugar, snickerdoodles tend to have a cracked appearance when they're fully baked. Nobody quite knows where the cookie got its name, but some speculate it comes from "schneckennudel" (a cinnamon-spiked German dessert).

    But wouldn't shortbread be ok?
