We got back from shopping and noticed my daughter’s front bumper was scuffed up. I guess my wife tried backing up and caught her bumper. My wife’s car has a pretty good mark down the side. I’m not sure if it’ll buff out or not. I am still pretty mad about it.
I’m starting to calm down now. I just don’t understand how she could have scuffed the side of her car so much. She must have misjudged and been backing too fast.
She was obvioisly too close but it won't do you any good to get mad.
I know. It’s hard not to be mad initially. I went over the scrapes with some rubbing compound and some buffed out and some didn’t.
Being married myself I'm guessing it was all your fault anyway. Maybe you installed an outside light in the wrong place where it dazzled her. Or you still didn't get around to fixing the uneven patch in the driveway. You should apologise right away and get her some flowers. That might get you off the hook.
I held my anger inside. I have been married almost 30 years. I know better than to voice my real thoughts initially.
