Something I've been working on for a couple months. It's based on Her raspberry tart cookie recipe ( yum! ). At one point I had 5 testers going ( LOLz ).
Raspberry Tart Cookie
WF Crumble Topping 1.3%
FA Vanilla Cookie 1.2%
FA Zeppola 1%
FA Raspberry (Berryl) 0.7%
INW Raspberry (Molina) 0.3%
FA Custard Extra 1 - at 1.1%
SSA Clotted Cream 0.7%
CAP Super Sweet 0.5%
Steep time: 3-4 weeks for 30ml / 7-14 days 10ml / off the mix it is really good; it only gets better with time / YMMV
The cookie base = FA Vanilla Cookie and FA Zeppola. Combined they make a wonderful soft baked cookie. FA Vanilla Cookie adds pleasant vanilla and butter notes. Zeppola helps to fill out the cookie profile and aids in creating more of a "soft baked" cookie. WF Crumble Topping adds to the overall cookie profile, but, it also adds it's own very special "crumble" notes to the mix.
FA Custard Extra 1 and SSA Clotted Cream add body and mouthfeel, plus a beautiful, but not heavy, creaminess. FA Custard Extra 1 is a fairly mild custard, with a near zero egg note. As I've noted previously, a custard paired with clotted cream are heavenly. The clotted cream allows one to "temper" a custard, allowing one to push/pull custard notes as desired.
INW Raspberry (Malina) and FA Raspberry (Berryl) make the perfect "baked raspberry" profile for any mix.
Do Not....... let the low raspberry percentages fool you!!! This mix is raspberry forward. FA and INW raspberries are very highly concentrated flavors. That is especially true of INW Raspberry (Malina)!!!
In this mix, the raspberry is nearly as it should "taste" in the real life bakery itself.
I am very pleased with this mix, I took my time creating it. IMHO it is the best raspberry bakery mix I've made (to date).
This can be made minus the raspberries for a rather flavorful bakery mix. I vaped quite a bit that way before adding the raspberries, so I could get the base as desired.
Any fruit, or combo, will work well with the base mix.
I made one version with 1.3% FA Walnut, was tasty, it added a nice smooth, yet light, nuttiness. FA Walnut is more of a raw English walnut. It does not have the sharper flavor of black walnuts. There is no bitterness; it's very slightly sweet. A mild tasting nut flavor.
CAP Super Sweet......... I tried this mix without it, and, it was good, but lacking. When added, it delivered a very fine finishing touch (as it does with many mixes). It made the mix "truly shine".

Turns out that I don’t have FA Custard extra so will have to sub something.If you make it, I do hope you like it.

I've been after a "decent" tasting donut flavor for years. Was never happy with any of the existing DIY donut flavors. Until, FLV Crispy Donut came along. It leaves all the other donut flavors in the dust. Period!!!
After I SFT'ed FLV Crispy Donut, I was totally blown away with its accuracy ( LOL ). Yup, a truly spot-on donut flavor. Finally (yay!).

Basically it's a three part recipe; a donut base, some creaminess and raspberry.
The donut base = FLV Crispy Donut, WF Glazed Donut and FA Zeppola. While FLV Crispy Donut is a solid donut flavor on its own, using it alone did not provide what I was looking for in a "full on" donut for a jelly donut profile.
I tried crispy donut with WF Glazed Donut, another excellent donut flavor (but, not on its own), and that was really good. Still, I felt something was missing in what I "imagined" possible.
FA Zeppola is Flavour Art's base donut flavor. When I added it to FLV and WF donuts, the donut profile I imagined fully came to life. Combined they make the best donut base, ever. One I've been after for many years.
I chose FA Custard Premium for this mix strictly for its bolder custard notes and other tasty bakery ingredients. Using clotted cream tamed the custard to my will. You will not experience any "eggy" note from custard premium in this mix ( zero!!! ). Combined they add mouthfeel, body and a touch of moistness.
As I noted in my earlier recipe posting, FA Raspberry and INW Raspberry (Malina) make an excellent raspberry pairing for bakery mixes. I'm not sure what ingredients in this mix gave them a "true" raspberry jelly profile (I do have a good idea). Nonetheless, it tastes like a spot-on raspberry jelly in this mix, same as you would find in a real life jelly donut.
Nearly any fruit, or combo, will work with the base mix. Strawberry would be real nice (planned). Any of the berry flavors (or a mix of) will work nicely.
