    Evening Folks.

Does anyone know if there is something like a can cozy, only for a one gallon jug of nicotine. I'm wanting to wrap the jug in black, kinda like putting it in a wetsuit, to block all light. While in the freezer, being as the freezer does get opened.

    Maybe I'm over thinking it.

What color is the bottle? If it is amber glass, then it doesn't need a wrap. If clear, then you could use tinfoil.

I've been on the phone and texting dd. She is about to buy a used vehicle, a 2017 Subaru outback, only 27,000 miles. The concern I'm having is that they aren't going to give her as much for her old car as she could get. They have offered 500 for a 2008 Buick enclave with the kbb value being 1000-2400. I even got a junker offer for 645, and the car isn't a junker. It runs fine, but needs major ac work.

Per Edmunds.......... a 2008 Buick Enclave in "rough" condition is valued at $1,693 (trade-in) and $2,712 (private sale).

List it in the paper or online???

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just got back from the password reset. I'm registered here with a yahoo.com email address. There was some kind of email merger between ATT and yahoo a few years ago and it messed things up good. Used to be able to get to both my ATT and yahoo emails through yahoo but now it will only let me get to ATT.

Took a while to find a workaround on the net. Edge browser has that problem and fixing it looked like it would be a major project, but I was able to load Chrome and set up a new yahoo account with just my yahoo address. I only use that yahoo address for ECF. I set it up after the big forum upgrade a few years ago because the new software wouldn't accept sbcglobal email addresses.

Anyway, this thread has been really busy lately. Can't be bothered to read all those pages so I'm hoping I didn't miss anything important.

    White plastic, from NicLabs.

Definitely need to transfer to bottles. Unlike SMT, I use 32oz bottles. I can fit a liter in one of those. I have so much nic in reserve that it would take far too many of the little ones. I use amber.

Storing nic in a freezer in clear glass bottles is not a problem whatsoever.

Rossum did extensive testing in clear glass, per his long-term nic storage thread.

    :)
Right. There's no light in the freezer and taking a bottle out for twenty minutes to do some mixing isn't going to hit it with enough light to have any effect at all.

I have 12/16oz and 12/8oz on order. I'll get smaller on my next order if I feel I need them.

Several people had problems with the password reset.

On Monday when I refreshed an ECF page on my iPhone, I was greeted with a message telling me I had to change my PW.

The forum software automatically redirected me to the page for changing my PW. I changed it, then the ECF page auto-refreshed to the one I originally intended to browse, zero problems/issues.

The only email I received was one informing me that my password was changed. FWIW, my main email account is via AT&T (att.net).

Don't think the used car market is as messed up as it was a couple of years ago but prices are still high. Car lots are struggling and they have to try stuff like that. We got a newish Explorer and they wanted to stiff us on our old Saturn Vue. They offered $500 so we took it home with us and got way more than that in a private deal.

I would take it to the auction site. Easier than selling it privately.

Yeah, I think I made it hard for myself because I thought the password they wanted me to reset was the email password not the ECF password. And I couldn't see the email message they sent me.

I had a strange experience today. Sitting at a traffic light and a truck pulled up next to me. An oldish hispanic guy was driving and staring at me. Then he pulled back and started pointing at the back of my truck with a worried look on his face. After I got past the light I pulled up and checked the back of the truck out. Tires, exhaust, lights, underside, everything looked fine. Finally noticed the license plate date was May 23. Checked the glove compartment and the 24 sticker was sitting there.

I remember when I got the sticker it was raining so I put it away to do later. I was driving around with out of date plates for 9 months.

I'm grateful to the guy for calling me on it. Surprised though. I might flag someone if I noticed a flat tire or something trapped under the car but I would never do that for an out of date plate.

That reminds me of a couple of instances a number of years back, when 2 separate windshield stickers were required. First, as I was pulling into a car dealership owned by a friend and fellow Girl Scout leader, a cop pulled up behind me and asked if I was at the dealership to get a new inspection sticker. I looked and mine was months out of date. "Sure Officer." I was actually there to work on a parade float for the Girl Scouts, but while I was there I had them inspect my car and got a new sticker. The Second incident was later. I had renewed my registration but forgot to put the sticker on. I got pulled over for speeding. I didn't get a ticket for that, but got one for the out of date registration sticker. When I went to court, I told the judge that I was holding off putting the sticker on because I was going out of town the following week and while I was gone and not needing my car, I was going to have the cracked windshield replaced. This was actually true. The judge let me go without a fine.
