Good morning. I might be working part of the day tomorrow. I’ll find out today. We have a bunch of new equipment to assemble for a customer and the boss was talking about asking for volunteers.

    Morning, mixers.

NO worries about cold here, other than not being... although the claim is the temp will only get into the high 60s on Sunday. Might make it that long ;)

Good that we can soon take a pack of cannabis in our back pocket instead !!

Yeah, follow the money... just like here.

    @ShowMeTwice ...me again.
I want to make up a batch of caramel to add to my NET mixes.
Is there a single good caramel you can recommend...or,
I recall you had a caramel mix up here consisting of various flavors. I'm sure I took a screen shot of the mix (was in the old days, before I had bookmarks.... ), but can't find it.

I have nearly all the caramel flavors (butterscotch's and toffees too!!!). There really isn't one good caramel flavor that rules them all. Each one tastes very different from the others. There are European and American caramel flavors.

In my experience, making a truly decent tasting caramel, at minimum, requires a caramel and a butterscotch.

For something basic that will add a pleasant caramel note Flavour Art has you covered.

This from HIC's notes - "FA Caramel adds rich caramel to tobaccos without transforming the mix into candy. Add FA Butterscotch for bolder, sweeter caramel."

this would be a good place to start:

    FA Caramel 3%
    FA Butterscotch 1.5%

adding 0.25% - 0.5% FA Walnut will add a nice buttery note in the caramel/butterscotch. And a fine, yet light, walnut note.

For a more complex tasting caramel base:

    FA Caramel 2%
    FW Caramel Candy 1%
    FW Butterscotch Ripple 3%
    FA Butterscotch 2%

and to make the above more convincing and creamier add the following:

    FA Madagascar (Vanilla Classic) 2%
    FA Vienna Cream 0.5%
    FLV Cream 1%

I've posted much on caramels/butterscotch's in the thread. Zazie has those in the Appendix of her blog.

Here: Part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4. part 5, part 6 and part 7. There is info on caramels in each of those posts. Some recipes too.

I have acquired additional caramel/butterscotch/toffee flavors since part 7. Those might be in recipes I've posted, they might be in Zazie's blog. LOLz

    Hope that helps!!!

A cousin would bring his dogs up to the lake in VT. One, a chocolate lab he named Shadow because that dog was his shadow from Day 1, loved the water. He'd sit and wait until the cousin said "OK" and would take off running down the hill, onto the dock, and do a massive jump off the end. He'd paddle around a bit and then come back to the cousin. Somehow, the cousin taught the dog to "Go Shake!". He'd point and the dog would go over in the direction he pointed, shake and come back to him. The dog would sit and wait until the cousin said "OK" again then take off to go jump into the lake. It was a favorite game.

My knee that had the ACL surgery now has nasty arthritis that keeps flaring. I was in PT in the fall and then fell off the wagon of regularly doing my exercises in the new year. I'm back to following the routine but am limited to a mile on level surfaces. I have to build up to longer walks and inclines as the knee tolerates it. The weather isn't cooperating, I am not a fan of cold and windy!

The upside of being able to work from home is if there is a nice day, I let folks know I'm leaving early to take a walk and will be working again afterwords. Based on the forecast, that might happen in April...

    Very cool story about Shadow.

I hope your knee gets better!!! :)

10ml bottles give, more rubbish. I thought we were supposed to be thrifty with natural resources, it doesn't look like that, a government that is nothing but a hypocrite.
I guess saving the kids from the horrors of vaping is more important than saving the planet they will be living on.

Our winter was harsher than we have been used to in the last 10 years, we had winter for once

I think I have almost everything for that recipe, possibly not TFA Bavarian Cream, have FA Bavarian and maybe another one too.
This looks very yummy, and must be mixed!
As always, good complements to the flavor choices you make SMT

FA Bavarian Cream (Crema Bavarese) is an excellent Bavarian. It is a more highly concentrated flavor versus TFA/TPA Bavarian Cream.

    I would sub it at 1/2 ( 0.65% ).

I feel for my kids, their kids, and the generations in-line to receive "what they're allowed" to have and do under predetermined decisions in their lives.

Hello, mixers, hoping all is well with you and yours

I did get some testers mixed just a bit ago, two revisions and three new ones.

    Revisions:

Doodlesnack (v3.0) • snickerdoodles and van ice cream

Daapacco (v1.1) • a custard tobacco mix with vanilla and a little caramel

    New:

Oh Rootie • banana tutti frutti, strawberry, and coconut - testing some new Flavor Jungle concentrates

Hazy Cosmic Jive • strawberry with custard and cake

Night Mary • waffles with nuts and caramel. Inspired by the profile of a commercial juice, Nancy's Nightmare (or Nancy's New Nightmare?)

I hope y'all have a great weekend

    Good morning mixers,
I've started fixing chainsaws for others, it's been a few years since I made a living doing it, so now I'm up and running.
Maybe I'll have time to mix a bit later tonight
Good morning, Tor.:) Enjoy your chainsaw repair.
