OK now. Dd has a secure VPN though her work and she has no anti virus. Another question now. My computer runs on dd's connection so do I need an anti virus??

Yes, imo. "Work" sites are always big targets, and you would be relying on someone else doing a stellar job. They might be pros, but many outfits are not, using IT folk for security rather than a security pro. Even if they are, a second line of defense is a good idea. Their firewall and the inbuilt Windows one on your machine should be fine for that part of protection, though, so again imo, no need to get a third party firewall.

Well, I hope he shows up soon.
He did shortly after I posted. He went to chick fil a to get breakfast sandwiches for everyone. We worked about three hours and he told us not to clock out that he would do it to give us an extra hour.

As far as antivirus, I have used AVG for years with no issues both at home and work. We don’t have antivirus on the new work computers. We have an IT company that has everything pretty secure. However after saying that, one of the sales reps i deal with got his work email hacked Friday and he works for a very large company with an in house IT department.

DD's company is busy with taxes this time of year so I imagine they are pretty secure.

Exactly my point about a second layer of defense :)

And yes, AVG is another good one.

One would hope so... but in that line of biz, an even bigger target.

I'm going to look into your free Avast anyway.

It’s not very warm out today. Mid 40’s for the high. I am going to go out and mow since it’s getting a little tall and it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.
Our rain is for today and it's only 33. Supposed to see 36.......maybe. 40 and sunny for tomorrow. I would love to have a 75 day but that isn't going to happen for some time.

I ended up getting Malwarebytes Standard for just my computer. Was $44 and change for a year. My laptop is collecting dust. If I have a need to drag it out sometime I will get the Avast for that. I've had it for years but it really hasen't been used alot.

Also I couldn't find Paypal's removal tool but I managed to cancel Norton without it. Then I got an email confirming the cancellation.

It's Norton you want to uninstall not PayPal. :)

here's the link to Norton's uninstall software........
