Morning, mixers.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed Tuesday into the Patapsco River after it was struck by a large cargo ship

Yeah, grim. Saw one report that the ship lost all lighting briefly, came back on then wham, Having spent many years repairing and building ships, when you lose power you might get lights back quickly, but propulsion and steering take a bit longer to restore. Meantime you're adrift and at the mercy of your last trajectory and the tides.

As terrible as this is, just watch what it does to the prices of things. The port of Baltimore is one of the largest on the East coast.

What's everyone up to today? No sun today but we made it to 39 so got a bit more melting done. The backyard is mostly melted but my little deck is still covered with snow. As of today the steps up to the deck are clear of snow.

    Hi, Fran :)

This and that, prepped some potatoes for fries (to freeze) and boiled the rest, just did one new tester -

Faster, Custardcat! Drip! Drip! • VCV1, French Vanilla, Flan, Cookie Crumble, a little Yogurt, and a dash of SS

Going to watch hockey on TV in a bit.

I hope you're having a good day
