Morning, mixers.

No 80s here, thank you! Seasonal mid 60s, although said to bounce to the mid 70s for tomorrow.

No rain for a bit, either, but at least with the cooler temps the plants won't bake. Or us :)

Good morning, David. :) I don't like 80 either but since it's only one day I can live with it. 70 for tomorrow.

92% humidity. Even with a mild temp...66...it's mugly (muggy ugly)
Sorry to hear that it's so mugly where you are, but thank you for the new (to me) word!
I'm not sure if I can work it into a mix name without some alteration, but I'm probably gonna try.

I also found what could very well be my favorite mix name/image by another mixer,

I'm a gonna need to do some subbin' if I decide to mix it though!

Things were going great today for 20 minutes, until I inspected the coffee can. They managed to stuff a pound and a half of coffee into a 3 pound can. I've had about enough product shrinkage. lol
    That's way to much shrinkage.

Peripherals, unless really old, shouldn't be much of an issue. Had to replace my wife's antique laptop last year, just downloaded the current drivers and they all worked flawlessly.

Yeah, installing all the software can get... onerous.
I remember the process of taking ownership of external hard drives (of which I have many) to get them to work with a new device as being something of a struggle last time around.

On the bright, after reviewing yesterday the notes I made the last time I had to set up a new computer, I'm feeling better about the whole business. I don't run a ton of software, for one thing, and, since I switched from Thunderbird to Gmail last time around, I won't have to do anything about email.

Did mine over the weekend, I definitely recommend PCmover Professional. It copied all my programs without a hitch. Moment the copy ended I was up and running. I had around 20 programs I had downloaded for games, old modding stuff. Some I hadn't used for years. They all went over. Didn't have to worry about app registration codes or anything. Even got my favorites on Edge and stuff like that. All the desktop windows. 48 hours now and haven't found a single problem.

Some places I went to, like ECF, they recognised I was on a new computer and sent me an email to sign in from to confirm it was me.

It won't copy security / antivirus programs so download those before you do the copy. You need to remove trial versions of programs from the new PC. You have to block Win updates and Norton and cloud backups, etc, during the copy. Stop all running programs. Few other odds and ends like that. They have great detailed instructions.

Basically it makes your new computer look exactly like your old one. Don't know about peripherals. Printer was picked up automatically. Headphones and speakers.

It's around $50 for the PCmover program. You can copy through your home network or get a $30 USB link cable which goes way faster. Sometimes it's cheaper on Amazon. Mine took 7 hours with the cable, estimated 14 to 20 hours through the home network. They have free 24/7 online chat or phone support.

    Best $80 I ever spent.
I'll definitely look into it. A lot will depend on how energetic I feel when the time comes. If I'm feeling lively, I'll probably do it on my own, out of sheer cussedness.
