Just got back from our State Fair. Up in the 90's today. I've enjoyed it more in the past when it wasn't so hot. It's in the city just a 20 minute drive from where we live.
The aroma of cooked meat almost knocked me out when we arrived. All I ate was a couple of helpings of ice cream from
dessert Factory stands, too hot for the usual stuff. The State Fairground is huge, around 1 mile square with parking in the middle. There's a big concert hall with a Van Halen tribute band playing in the evenings. One area has 8 horse breeding stables, nature center, couple of huge buildings full of farm animals. They even have a barn called the birthing center where you could watch farm animals giving birth. I passed on that one. Must have been 200 food stalls. It's no smoking but there are large grass areas which were quite empty where you could stop and hit the
vape.
On the way back we stopped for fish and chips in an air conditioned restaurant.
Best of all - NO POLITICS.
