Morning, mixers.

Seems we'll get a break from the rain today. Good for those here in western WA who chose to stand in line to vote :) Or don't want to get an arm wet dropping it in the box!

Uh, yeah, sweeteners...

This is what I could find for the components of TPA Sweetener, TPA Super Sweetener, and Cap Super Sweet,

The citric acid of Super Sweet/Super Sweetener might have additional enhancing/modifying properties beyond just sweetening when used with certain flavorings,

Thanks for digging this stuff up mate. I assumed sweeteners would just have one artificial sugar substitute in them. Guess it's a bit more complicated than that.

A big branch came off the neighbor's tree last night. It came mostly loose from his tree and fell against my tree so it's suspended 20 to 30 feet up at the top of my driveway. It's bigger than it looks, they are huge old trees. There was another large branch lying in my driveway. Tree guys were over this morning. They had to park their cherry picker on my side so the first thing they did was clear my driveway.

You can't see from this angle but the fallen branch tore out the inside of the main trunk right where it splits into 2 more main branches. The whole tree is going to have to come down, it's only 10' from the neighbor's house. It hangs over his house and the power lines and my driveway. Not going to be an easy job. Luckily I'm 150' away down the driveway.

Then they left. There's a polling station half a block up the road in our town hall and there was a nonstop stream of cars driving by. Hopefully tomorrow.

    You're most welcome :)
Sucralose looks to be the most common sweetening compound used although there are a few other options out there.
I don't have either of the TPA yet. I do have FW Sweetener which I have heard is just sucralose, PG, and water. I looked at the available FW data/safety sheets but it isn't 100% clear to me that there are no other compounds.

I tend to use Cap SS with fruit mixes most often and either the FW or Pur more for custards, bakeries, and tobaccos.

Waving Hi to you great folks from my iPad :) Can I get a Hi.????
    Hi, Fran :)
I hope all is well there.

    Things are okay here.
I'm still writing up ideas and mixing - I've done eight new testers since Friday.
Mostly custards/creams (two are recipes by other mixers), an RY4 type, and an orange/peach/mango.
