I haven't done the latest windows update yet. Hopefully I'll be ready for trouble.
I'm not tech savvy, so I will stay away from this coversation. I only posted what I think worked for me, thank you and good night.Unplugging from the wall should be the same is disconnecting from the power supply. As in removing any source of power to the mother board. The 5 minute wait is so any internal capacitors can drain down, getting rid of any last vestiges of voltages, other than the battery backed CMOS that keeps time and basic boot instructions.
I don’t know if it’s the same thing that happened to me but a couple months ago my laptop showed it was connected to the internet but no pages would load. This is worked for me.Last night I got a Windows update called 24H2. Afterwards I couldn't connect to the internet. Tried everything I could think of. Then got on the wife's PC and searched the internet. It's been happening with 24H since Oct. and it's one on a list of dozens of problems with 24H. There were some scary solutions involving the registry and drivers, but they often fail and revert back after a few days. I rolled it back and now it's fine. I set Windows to only install security updates for now.
Yes, I bet it’s getting very old.The in-laws saga continues. The wife texted me about 3:30 to tell me that her mom called her from the doctors office to come and pick her up. Then my wife gets home around 6 and tells me I have to go with her to drive her mom’s car back to their house from the doctors office. So just got home about 15 minutes ago. This stuff is getting old really quick.
Good morning, hitt.Good morning. I’m sure glad it’s Friday. This first full week back to work has seemed long.

Good morning, David.Morning, mixers.
Not 7, but our high is said to be only in the high 30s... maybe low 40s somewhere, and that's the guess for about a week.
Still dry, and we actually did see the sun yesterday, for about 20 minutes
Odd. That command just clears the Windows Store cache. Can't see it having much to do with other net access, although it could impact access to the "store." Then again, it IS windows
