Howdy. I’m still at work but taking a late lunch. Overnight this weekend is supposed to be in the single digits. I don’t foresee doing much of anything outside this weekend.

In our 10 day forecast we have 20's,30's and 40's. I have my doubts about the 40's but you never know til it comes. Or it could just disappear from our forecast.

Good late afternoon random folks. My old large Christmas tree wasn't working, not a single light would light up, so I tossed it and ordered a new tree. The first one didn't arrive after a week and then I got an email from Amazon stating that it was going to be another week and still may not arrive. I canceled that order and ordered another which arrived today. I've got it up and mostly decorated, but of course, Misty saw it as a giant new cat tree. I had bought a cat deterrent spray which did nothing to stop her. I had just put my breakable ornaments on top, but it looks like I'll have to remove them all together. I got a bunch of plastic ornaments from my mother. I've been reading, and one suggestion was to put up a second tree that the cat is allowed to climb. I do have a smaller tree, so I'll try that

It’s been two weeks of steeping so I’m finally trying the horchata recipe that I was thinking Dennis posted. It’s pretty good. I think I could personally stand to go higher on the horchata flavor. I’ll do that if I remix it.

I complain too. But still, cold is cold no matter where it is. I'll take heat - within reason - over cold any day.
