When I was a smoker, I tried smoking a pipe. But, the taste of a lit pipe, never equated to the smell of the unlit pipe tobacco.

Same as vaping. Too much power, bad mod, bad ingredients.
Worked next to a pipe shop and saw her complain about a customer who burnt through pipe after free replacement expensive pipe (too much power) and of course always blamed the pipe. Then there are some drug store pipes I could never get to work right (bad mod), of course buying 5 $5 pipes to get one that smokes wasn't a bad deal. I think the tobaccos you were going after to recreate those smells have changed (bad ingredients), there is no way my dad or uncle smoked the same cherry I tried. Yes it smelled good but was like pouring caustic cleaner in your mouth.
I recall a lot of talk on pipe smoking forums about how bad that tobacco was and how did the old timers smoke it. One conclusion I recall helping was to dry it out, but with the new addition of PG that was no easy task.

Finally getting around to mixing this one. I’m guesstimating about a 10 day steep?

Probably a week.

I was going through one of my flavor cases trying to get a list and map made. I found several I never opened. I have no idea why I bought tfa dairy milk.

TFA Dairy Milk pairs nicely with TFA VBIC

2% Dairy Milk plus 4% VBIC

I want to try a ginger ale flavor and have read good things about Real Flavors Ginger Ale. RF did a great job with the effervescence in their Soda Base, so maybe they nailed it in their Ginger Ale too. Has anyone tried it? It is rather hard to find.

Mixing day at the lake! It's overcast with comfortable temperatures so I made a small dent in my want to try list. I told the DH I was in vacation mode -- the mixes were dominated by boozy flavors! I made a stand alone test of ginger peach and decided to go ahead and make Fizzy Rum with ginger peach instead of ginger ale, FA champagne and WS-23 instead of Koolada. We'll see how this comes along. Then I mixed up a few of my regulars and black pepper ice cream to round it all out.

I have so many flavors that I will probably never use but of course, the one I must have thrown out rather than unpacked was FA Ceylon Cinnamon. It had never been opened and was bought just to make Chai Masala. Cool here today so I decided to mix it up and the cinnamon is nowhere to be found. Why, oh why, couldn't it have been the VTA Blood Orange Champagne?

Man so I added a bunch of gin to my "accidental tonic" mix, and it's only been steeping a day or two, but seriously this is the closest I have gotten to "G&T for several decades honestly. It's really good and I'm glad I wrote it down too, because "Lemon Rhubarb tart" does not seem like a GOOD starting point for like, tonic water, but it worked.

I mixed 4 20 ml batches of various boozy flavors, I'm hoping they come out well and well, I have ALL my flavors organized, fixed (those that needed fixing) but I'm STILL not going to be able to vape them all this year, I don't think. LOL, the lowest I could bring myself to go was 20 ml, but what with my premixed base, and some snuff in my mouth, it was leisurely, mindful almost. Okay maybe that's the snuff talking, too, but it really makes life SO much easier. I have high hopes for my boozy mixes, including gingerale and brandy which my parents drank after work and etc., and they made me mix it so of course I drank some, it's a beloved combo.

I thought that this was the closest my parents were gonna get to alcoholism, but then my dad sort of surprised me with it during his midlife crisis.

LOL only fair, since I surprised THEM with it during my teen years.

Looks like this mix is going to wait until the Labor Day Sale at BCF(if there is one)...Turns out I have the honey peach instead of the ginger peach.......at least I can't find a ginger peach in my flavors.....plus it will give me a chance to pick up some TFA Ginger Ale also......so disappointing. -sigh-
So I went to mix @FranC ’s Fizzy Rum but adapted to add pineapple and coconut. I’d planned to mix one subbing the TFA Ginger Ale with FW’s and a v2 subbing the ginger ale with VTA Creaming Soda & FLV Ginger Peach. I mixed the later, no issues. Got the flavors out to mix v1 but couldn’t find FW Ginger Ale anywhere! I assumed it’d gotten put back up into the wrong spot at some point. I had to look through almost all my flavors (which is a lot) before I found... not FW GA but TFA GA, the one I thought I didn’t have. I guess some how I saved it online wrong in my flavor stash:facepalm: At least now I know and I was able to make one using it, as intended:laugh:

@PJReid speaks highly of this juice (I think). Don't look at me, LOL, I finally got around to doing some testers and boozy mixes, but I believe she said it was "very fizzy". Etc.

I also mixed some gingerale and brandy, and I'm wondering if I need a fruit, and if so which one. I may use my go to for brandy, apricot, but IDK yet. Still pondering.

Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning your apricot brandy. I never mixed that one up. I’ll have to see if I can’t find it and add it to my list... again:laugh:

I was about to say it actually has good uses but see others already have. I initially purchased it for cereal type vapes but now I also use it in several other instances:p
