Good morning fellow mixers!:D I always miss being here when I can’t seem to find the time to make it. I know I’m missing out on great tips and recipes! @FranC I’ve mixed a bottle of your Fizzy Rum (adapted) to take with on vacay next week. I decided to go with the ginger peach one:p IME, I haven’t seen a lot of change with steeping any of the versions of it I mixed.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, even with all my flavors, I’ll never have them all and will always be missing one here and there. I’ve given up on trying and now focus more on finding an ideal sub rather than rushing to purchase those missing for this or that recipe. We usually make recipes our own after the initial mix any way, if not on the first.

    @Fidola13 @IDJoel @Sugar_and_Spice
and anyone who might be interested, my most recent findings in regards to my above mix...
I’ve recently discovered there’s a huge difference, IMO, between LA Raspberry & the clear one. I first mixed this one using the colored version. Then, upon running out, ordered the clear. I assumed it’d be the same without the addition of food coloring. IMO, it ruined the mix as it didn’t add anything and seemed to thin out the flavors. Initially, I thought it was the addition of LB Blue Raspberry and maybe I just missed it on the first bottle. I really don’t think thats the case though. I’ve just mixed one omitting LA’s Raspberry altogether and using the LB BR sorta in it’s place. I wasn’t certain which I liked better anyway... with the addition of the latter or without. When I have more time I’ll do a few testers to find the best mix. I’ll play around with FLV Boysenberry & LB BR's percentages. Though, for now, hoping it satisfies simply omitting LA’s raspberry altogether. I’d also like to try it with other berry profiles rather than blue razz. I know Fidola mentioned mixing this one. So I’m hoping I was able to inform before anyone mixed:) I feel like I’m forever playing catch up:laugh:
I don't think the boozy mixes require a lot of steeping unless you're mixing them with flavors that do.

No worries from me, I haven't had the time to mix this one. Didn't have the LA Raspberry anyway and was going to sub one, but now I will just omit it.

    Have a good vacation.

    :)
I'm stuck on the Pur Raspberry so that's what I use. I like it alot. I feel no need to have 15 different versions...LOL. I do already have FA and Cap.

More info on the ginger peach. After just a few days of steeping, I am relieved that the ginger is settling down and taking a back note to the mix. I also mixed a sft of 2% and it too is settling down nicely. To anyone who is going to mix with the ginger peach.......the ginger is way over powering in the 1st 2-3 days. I am also considering adding a peach flavoring to help boost the peach a little but will wait to see what the sft does.

I honestly feel for hero_O Hope the med works like magic for her! I could not imagine 15 a month:shock:

Me too. They told her on the phone that it was supposed to be delivered to the house in the mail last week. It still hasn't come. She needs to call them to see what is going on.

I really need to get my pur raspberry back out. I used tfa raspberry for a long time and was ok with it. I really like the vt juicy raspberry and honestly forget what the pur raspberry tasted like. I'll have to dig it back out.

I have those raspberries in addition to the VT. Don’t have LAs though and looks like I’ll stay clear.
Although I don’t know if I can have enough raspberries lol!!

I really hope it works for her. My best friend suffers the same as your wife. Her neurons gave her 3 samples to try to see if it helps before she has to fight her insurance to cover it if it works.

I haven’t tried the VT juicy raspberry since it’s a new addition but it’s definitely going to be in the mix this week!!

I mixed it at 3% for sft and tasted it after a week (?). I got a peach hit upfront and ginger on the back end. It was slightly harsh. A week later it's settling down and smoother. I also did Fuzzy Rum (Fizzy subbing the ginger peach for ginger ale) and that's pretty yummy too. My current tank has a mix of the two. I'd made them at different strengths and wanted something in the middle. It's still good. LOL. It wouldn't be an ADV but it's an interesting change up.

Once again I'm stuck looking at vape mail with flavors (G&T!) to play with an no time to do mix. Plus I broke my ankle and I'm in a boot 24/7, non weight bearing for 6 weeks (crutches, ugh) which makes it impossible to get all my gear set up to mix. I may beg the husband for help one day as my stock of juice runs low. It's a good thing I did some mixing on my vacation. Sigh.

OUCH!!! Not fun at all.....I had sprained my ankle and that put me on crutches also while on vacation a few years ago. It was so swollen it didn't look like a foot even and so discolored. It never did go back to its original size. You have my sympathies dear. Get better soon.

    :)

ROFL. I sprained the other ankle last year - same trick, falling down the stairs outside that were put in to keep me from falling after I had knee surgery! That ankle was a rainbow colored basketball for a long time and still isn't 100%. It didn't help that I finished packing up the car and drove 3 hours before putting ice on it and elevating it. I didn't go to the doc for it last year and probably should have. For some reason this felt different and I had the DH call the doc and make an appointment as I drove home (3 hrs again). He'd left ahead of me so I could do a final clean of the cottage, so he's off the hook for pushing me down the stairs. He's been teased about that, a friend asked him how much the insurance policy is on me :glare: I think there's a reason I was named Joy instead of Grace

In the interim, I'm adding to my wishlist of flavors and collecting recipes. Living vicariously through all of you! Thanks!!

I hope it heals quickly. Several years ago I fell from a ladder while hanging Xmas lights. The ladder fell and I grabbed onto the roof over the garage. I slipped and my foot landed on one of the rungs. I was on crutches and in a walking boot from the end of November until May of the next year.
