I’ve been doing 4% pudding base and 6% pomegranate. You can shake and vape but the flavors seem to combine better after a week or two.
Thank you, I’ll try that tomorrow. I need to make something besides variations of cheesecake. That, and a giant bottle of g&t are on my todo list

Any plans today, folks? I really have nothing to mix which is ok because I need to start trying the stuff I mixed last month. I hauled out 8-9 mixes that are ready. On top of that I have my 3 cereal mixes to try again. That will take me awhile. Hoping to work on some recipes while trying the new stuff.

I know you can’t do coconut but after @NolaMel & @stols001 mentions of a chocolate coconut vape, I’ve got it stuck in my mind atm. Initially I was thinking maybe 6% TFA Double Chocolate Clear, 3% of each FA Coconut & FW Coconut Cream. But then I saw your brie & chocolate mousse cookie mix and started thinking my choc/coc might be better with a brownie flavor opposed to just a chocolate one. Hmm...

Awhile back I had some well steeped Pur cheesecake base to use up as well as some TFA cheesecake base. One of the mixes I did with the Pur base was Very Berry Cheesecake. This is what I'm going to try first. The berries are boysenberry and huckleberry with rhubarb added for good measure...LOL.

When I first started mixing, I used a lot of Bill's (Magic Vapor) recipes. He had several Danish recipes that I liked and mixed several times. My favorite was his Cream Cheese Danish:

As a cream cheese forward Danish, 4% CCI was the highest it was used. the 5 or 6 others used a more subtle 1.5 - 2.0%. And, keep in mind, Bill was a High Flavor mixer.;) I was later diluting his total flavoring percentage by half to two thirds.

I did try it once in a cheesecake recipe, and it helped to boost the idea, of Philadelphia cream cheese a little bit. However, the recipe as a whole was not particularly a success, and I ditched it. As I recall, I think(?) I used 2% CCI.

@FranC, I do find it has a bit of sweetness (the "icing" note, I imagine), so start low... or even do a single flavor tester, to see if you can tolerate it. I don't find the sweetness particularly dominating, but I don't share your sensitivity to sweet either.:)

I have a weird sense of what cheesecake should be. Mom had a very "wet" recipe, that was not the least bit fluffy, dry, or dense. There was nothing "cake-like" about it. Instead it was velvety smooth, near silky. If you cut it before it set up fully the sides would even slump a little.

The filling was made of two parts: the main body is cream cheese, sugar, an egg, and a bit of lemon juice. Then it is topped with what is almost a ganache of sour cream, sugar, and a touch of vanilla. Bake, chill, and serve. It is not a tall cake. It looks more like a custard pie than a classic restaurant cheesecake. But it is divine!

this is the cheesecake I want to recreate in a vape... and I just can't get there. Both the cream cheese, and the sour cream are giving me fits. The cheesecake concentrates I have tried (TFA, CAP, and LA) are all heading the wrong way toward the Dry, fluffy, cakey, NY style. Both cream cheese, and sour cream, are tough flavors to find. I have had some limited success using Greek yogurt for the sour cream, but cream cheese has been my nemesis. I was gifted some hand-me-down FF-Cream Cheese, but I have yet to try it.

Did you end up mixing both of these at 6%; or something else? Thanks for sharing your impressions!:D
    Hiya Joel:)
Did you ever try your Faerie’s Finest cream cheese? I tried RF’s a few weeks ago which traumatised me, in a sense:laugh: You may or may not have seen me comment concerning. I think I’m ready to try others cream cheese now though. Looking at DIYVS I see they have several. Other than RF and LA CCI, they have FF, Bickford & Natures Flavors. I’m not at all familiar with Bickford. If you or anyone has any experience with any brand of just cream cheese, excluding RF, I’d really appreciate any feedback! This recipe looks tasty too:p

Sounds good! Have you mixed with the huckleberry? I was under the impression it’s very sweet.

I thought this total mix would be too fruity for me but I'm rather liking it. Not finding it too sweet either.

I’m glad you shared this! I haven’t mixed with it yet. I had it in a potential mix I shared a couple months ago on here and someone commented saying to be careful because it’s very sweet and potent. So I omitted it and haven’t yet revisited. Very good to know!
