Question... I bought Amaretto, which was listed as safe to vape. When I got home, on the tiny bottle I see “caprylic/capric triglycerides”. I thought that was a no-no? Not a big deal for $1, princess can use it in her baking. But, trying to educate myself on what to avoid.

I FINALLY got several mixes done yesterday and today! Feel so good about it once I get going but boy it’s difficult some days to get that motivation going.

Anyhow the 1st one I did was the Very Berry Soda that was posted on here. I’m sorry but I forgot who posted it but it looked yummy & I just received the Soda Base last week.

Also did a very simple Strawberry Cheesecake and then braved trying the Baked Apple Tart thing I was working on that people were kind enough to give me suggestions. I’ll let it steep a couple days b4 giving it a try!! It’s the 1st recipe of “my own” so I’m keeping my fingers crossed lol!

Aaaaand got another custard base going for steeping.

So I’m feeling like I’ve been productive. Well vape wise anyways lol!!

I've thought of getting that pudding base off and on but can't get by the sweet factor and I don't need any more too sweet flavors.

I ended up getting that pudding base but now that I have it I’m not exactly sure what to do with it lol!!

Filled my tank last night and still quite tasty this morning. I used the steeped TFA Cheesecake base I had so it's very well steeped.

TFA Cheesecake with Graham 6%
TFA Graham Clear 2%
FLV Pink Guava 1%
FLV Brie .75%
TFA Blueberry Extra 4%

Saved!! Looks good!

My CranApple mix didn’t do much for me. Disappointing really. Can you tell me what you used? Thanks

I tried a lot of different versions, some with EM, some with all Fuji, some with less lemon - for my tastes, this is a winner. I used Jungle Flavors Fuji because I have it and I also think it has slightly less peel than FA. That said, FA is fine and I will use either since I have both and in this mix, the difference would probably not be noticeable. On the pear, I add it for juiciness so any juicy pear would work. Molinberry is the best, IMO. It is the most like the old Inawera Pear before they reformulated.

Chilled Cranberry Apple
Cranberry (TPA) 7%
Fuji (Jungle Flavors) 2%
Lemon (FE) .5%
Shape Up Pear (Molinberry) .5%
Two Apples (INAWERA) 2%
WS-23 30% .75%

What brand is your Amaretto? Caprylic/capric triglycerides are derived from palm and coconut oils which would make them questionable in my mind. I did read somewhere that Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides are similar to glycerin and are not lipids. They are used in MCT oil, so lots of people are vaping them. Here is an article for your reading pleasure. I know nothing but am a research junkie. :D

I thought it had good flavor production but not worth the hassle of bottom filling. I would have liked a little more airflow.

Sorry, I forgot to quote dc’s post. I was talking about the doggystyle.

Lorann was the only brand with the original labels at the candy/baking shop. Amaretto is the only one I can’t find definitive “okay to vape” info on. Best Vapor Flavors gave it a “green light “, but said it was free of triglycerides. Then I found it on the label. Only other ingredients are natural and artificial flavors.

I only marked your post funny because of how they listed the 'oil'. If people didn't understand what it was/is they would just shrug it off. But please don't use it for vaping......ok to eat mixed in foods, but.... glad you picked up on that before trying to either mix or vape it.

    :)

I hate bottom fill, but the doggy I forgive for that shortcoming because I love the flavor I get.

I bottom fill all of my Berserkers, and the KFL+V2 "shorty" version tanks which are only bottom fill through a screw hole...and I really don't mind it. The Berserkers are really top-fill, but bottom filling takes the same amount of time, you've still got to remove a part of the tank, and there's absolutely no gurgling, leaking, etc. when bottom-filling them. I get really good flavor from both, but the smoothest, most flavorful vapor from the Berserkers.

I’m replying again, cause on my end, my reply appears to have evaporated. Lorann’s. And, thank you for the link. I love researching!!

While she obviously put a lot of work behind her post, inhalation is not mentioned as a form of usage. MCT oil is used in weight reduction and that is the only mention I saw of it. Each of us can use our own judgement in what we want to inhale into our bodies, but I would not use it in the form of inhalation. But that is just me....
