Question-
I read that PG carries flavor better than VG (smaller particle size?). So would an increase in PG (from whatever the starting point is) increase the flavor?

I realize there are the issues of throat hit, reduction of clouds and too thin a juice with a high level of pg. also some people are sensitive to pg.

So would a 70 PG/ 30 VG have “more” flavor than say a Max VG like 80/20? Or would it be imperceptible to most taste buds?

Just randomly thinking about stuff.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Fran,
You were asking the other day about what to mix with your rice flavor? I just saw a recipe(food) that suggests a rhubarb and strawberry mixture. You immediately came to mind. I don't know if you were still looking for suggestions but thought I would put this out there for you.....

:)

You may also want to add a cream also....OR maybe some of that new WF mascarpone cream cheese.....yum. Or both?

VG tends to mute flavoring so by upping pg to a 70pg/30vg from the almost opposite of Max vg, I would say you will find the difference and the taste suprisingly different......

I have done this test and quite a few people will argue with me but with max VG you will never get as sharp a flavor as you can with a blend of pg/vg. Its just that the top notes never seem as clean and sharp with max vg and some of the nuances stay cloudy. Im sensitive to the PG so I mix with PEG400.

I would suggest you try this. Pick a simple flavor like FA forest fruit and mix two 10ml bottles at 5%. One with max VG and the other 50/50 and see for yourself

Possibly but I'd have to try my sft again cause I didn't care that much for the rice. It's the VT Rice base I have.

I tried one of my new 10ga long needles on my 70/30 vg/pg base with a 30ml syringe and it still took a decent amount of force to pull the plunger but the syringe filled in just a few seconds. I’m so glad I got these.

I am glad I am not the only one saying how hard it is to pull base from those bottles with a syringe. At least now I know I am not a weakling. lol

Oh, wasn't aware of your not liking it.....maybe if mixed with something that flavor will take a back seat?

If you were using a 10ga 5" long blunt needle...I'm not surprised at the force needed. While the hole was increased very slightly in size, the length the mix needed to travel increased by 3-5 times (if the other BNT was 1"-1.5")...before reaching the large opening of the syringe.

IMO, it would be like comparing how hard you'd have to suck to get milkshake through a 5" long straw of normal diameter...versus how hard to pull it through a slightly larger diameter 15-25" long straw. ;)

ETA: You should be able to tell a decent difference in the force needed, if you could get/use a 10ga. 1-1.5" long blunt needle tip.

I understand that but I wanted long needles because I can’t fit the 30ml syringe through the opening of the bottle I mixed my base in. I guess I could have bought wide mouth bottles to mix the base in.

JC, that is simply not the case. I am using the 10 gauge 1" needle and still need lots of force. I am sorry if our experience is different from yours but it appears it is. I really don't see why this should be a continue topic for disagreement. You simply aren't having the same experience as we are.

The length may have increased a little but it was already tough to pull through any sized needle. If you notice the rest of @hittman post he said the syringe filled in seconds.

And you seem to continually miss the point of the large bottle and being able to reach the bottom of it. A 1-11/2 inch needle isn't going to reach the bottom of a large bottle.

Those bottle openings would have to be really wide to fit a 30 ml syringe through, but then you would worry about the additional exposure of air getting to the nic.

So before I hit the fire button on my flavor order (yes, it's going to happen, I might as well just admit it)... does anyone have any flavor suggestions for me?

    Here's what's in my cart:

    Hangsen RY4
    Hangsen Australian Chocolate
    Super Concentrated RY5
    Vape Train Light Rum
    WFSC Croissant
    WFSC Mascarpone Cream Cheese
    WFSC Cranberry Cocktail
    WFSC Yangmei Berry

I feel like a few more need to be added
