What was disappointing about your Cran-Apple mix? Mine is about all I have been vaping while back East and, to me, it is delicious. Now that it is getting cooler, I am going to add some spices to the base, which I am completely happy with. No mixing for me for another week or so. I go back to Washington State next weekend.

It just doesn’t taste like I thought it would I guess. There’s no distinct cranberry or apple flavor.

Spices sounds like a great idea. I don’t have any though in my stash and I’ve promised myself I’d stop buying more flavors. Hasn’t really worked out though lol!

My favorite recipe for Cran-Apple is:
    Chilled Cranberry Apple
    Cranberry (TPA) 7%
    Fuji Red Apple (VTA) 2%
    Lemon (FE) .5%
    Shape Up Pear (Molinberry) .5%
    Granny Smith Apple (VTA) 2%
    WS-23 30% .75% (Optional)

I like FA and Jungle Flavors Fuji flavors, but like the VTA version just a little bit more. The VTA Granny Smith Apple makes the difference, IMHO. It is sweet/tart, bright, and fresh tasting. The cranberry is not as forward as I might like but so far, I haven't found a cranberry I like except for the TFA. I plan to try the new Cranberry Cocktail from Wonder Flavours.

I do think that the Cranberry Apple spiced up a bit will be great and look forward to playing with that. The idea hit me when I tested HIC's Vanilla Chai Latte which I mixed as he wrote it except I left out Anise and used VTA Ginger Root at 1% instead of NF. I also added FA Black Pepper. My first thought when tasting it was that the spices would be great in an apple mix. We shall see.

@Sugar_and_Spice Do you have a recipe using the Boysenberry preserve?
Yes I do happen to have 1 or 2.

    Purdy Boyz --Using Raspberry

    PUR Boysenberry Preserves 5%
    TFA Raspberry Sweet 2%
    FA Bilberry 0.25%
    PUR Marshmallow 0.25%
    TFA Whipped Cream .01 %

This was my original recipe. I have since made a 2nd batch and upped the Preserves to 7% and the Raspberry to 4%. Next batch I will put the preserves back to 5% and add 2% of FLV Boysenberry and put the raspberry down to 3% and make further adjustments as needed. I have not perfected it yet but didn't want to keep Fran waiting as the recipes above are tasting really good.

    :)

Thank you:) Will dig my boysenberry stuff out tomorrow. Have all the other fruits and my blackberry is TFA. What kind of steep do these need?

Thanks I’ll give this recipe a try. I wouldn’t have thought to add lemon or pear. Does the small amount of lemon add a bit of zest? And the pear?

I just ordered the cranberry cocktail on Saturday so I’m looking forward to checking it out!!

That's close enough to my original recipe but the "crumble" was supposed to be shortbread cookies

    Still good though. :D

I’m not sure if I saw your recipe. Could you post it?

I found her post in another thread. Hope she doesn't mind me posting it.

I admit to a new addiction with this recipe - it's good after 2 or 3 days instead of 2 or 3 weeks:

    Strawberry Cheesecake Crumble----ceeceeisme

    INW Shortbread 1%
    INW Shisha Strawberry 2%
    INW Shisha Vanilla 0.60 %
    INW Yes We Cheesecake 3%
CAP Super Sweet 0.50% (or Rick's Sugar Daddy 0.90%)

The Inawera Shortbread is pretty much non-negotiable - it's the "crumble" in the recipe. If you're going to grab the "Yes We Cheesecake" you might as well grab the Shortbread too because they go together like salt and pepper. I have no idea where you might get it in the US as I ordered directly from Inawera.

Wonder Flavours makes a Shortbread super concentrate - I haven't tried it yet nor have I tried RF's super concentrate. They might be decent sub's.

I normally use 2 to 3 drops of Super Sweet in a 10ml bottle (approx. 0.50%)
When I dropped 2 drops of Sugar Daddy in it worked out to 0.90% due the the weight of the VG.

Yes. Or Loganberry? Raised in the NW, berries were everywhere, especially blackberries and raspberries. I am looking for suggestions.

Vape Dudes made a Belgian Waffle that turned me on to breakfasts. I have the TFA in my cart .

Got some bushes out back, lots of blackberries free for the picking. If you can get past the birds :)

The pear adds a little more juiciness and some texture. VTA Fuji and Granny Smith are juicier than other apples I have tried. The FE Lemon at .5% brightens the mix and yes, gives it a touch of zest.

Please let us know what you think of the Cranberry Cocktail. You will be trying it out before I have a chance.
