Just saw this on another thread posted by NGAhaze...

Quoting him (hope that’s allowed)...

“According to information posted on FB, Real Flavors is making changes, presumably due in part to pressure exerted by the FDA ... particularly disturbing is the item noted below in bold ( emphasis mine ).

"As of today, Real Flavors has stopped production of 10ml bottles. Real Flavors has always been a fundamental service to the wholesale/manufacturing sector, sadly the smaller bottles have started to affect the speed and times we could provide our flavors to clients. On Monday, Real Spices will launch with great flavors dedicated to the home bakers, candy makers, home brewers, and all the other home users of Real Flavors.

Real Spices was created to fall in line with the new food laws provided to us by the FDA. Super Concentrate flavors can no longer be mailed to residential addresses effective immediately.

Resellers will not be affected by this change.

Commercial clients can still receive smaller sample bottles free of cost."

While they don't specifically state these changes were forced on them, I find the change disconcerting nonetheless. I don't understand why they couldn't continue to offer the sale of larger offerings ( greater than 10ml ) to residential addresses if this was being done strictly to address the distribution issue they mentioned above. Thoughts, opinions?”

Sounds ominous :(

Well that’s very disturbing to me! I was pretty confident that flavor concentrates would be available to us.

I wonder if this is the real reason or the fda. I don’t like it at all.

Are flavor concentrates sold in bakery stores for consumers? Can’t imagine individuals would want large quantities so maybe it’s on the up and up.

Got me considering it:)
Do not buy the FA. I just opened my new bottle I just got last week and its totally different from the one I used. @dc99 is correct it does taste like perfume.......don't have a clue as to why the one I used didn't taste like this new one. I am going to give Capella a try. Hope that one is ok...

:)

eta I am going to do a tester on this new one to see if that perfume steeps out.

They are launching a new site just for the residential customers? And no super concentrates? Don't see this taking off personally. Only flavor I have found I like from the is the grape anyway. And I have tried many of their flavors. There are just not in my wheelhouse of what I like I guess.

I must have had and used an old bottle. Cause when I used it, you know me and my smelling everything, it did not taste or smell anything like the new bottle I opened. I have no clue.

I love floral, but it’s super flowery perfumy to me even

I sometimes use TFA with FA black currant. Seems to tame the sweetness and add some depth

Yeah, I just got this in last week because I had used the last of my old bottle(unfortunately I had already thrown the old bottle out). Anyway, as I was putting my new flavors away, I decided to open this one. What a difference.

I have the Fa black currant, need to do a test on that one. Also, thanks for speaking up about the blackberry or else I may have never opened the new bottle to check it. I see a re-work of my perserves with a new blackberry coming. LOL

I did a google on bakery and candy flavor concentrates and there’s just no way imo that the FDA could stop them from selling small (10mm) bottles to individuals for baking and candy needs.

So I’m going to hope it’s just a business reshuffling. Like you I only have one (I think) of their flavors anyways.

@FranC I'm up here. The oven was broken had a very carbohydrate dinner last night.. Will be leaving before a work order so I'm gonna have to call.

This week has lasted longer than several years, there is NO way I am moving and am on a 5 month lease.

It's basic, it's fine, it's not loud, I just need to get the oven up here. Gonna try to do yoga even if it's for 15 minutes. I'm at altitude so...

All stuff is well not exactly organized but I know where it is. LOL. Vaping away. My new "clone" mix is pretty close to the original.

The air mattress was broken. I had to go buy a new one and decided, Anna style "I will carry this up lumberjack style on my left shoulder and those crazy not real stairs just slabs of stone so I had no hands. Halfway up it got really heavy and windy, and it took every ounce of my body control and mindfulness to keep going. I was like ,
"Woah I could die really EASY at this moment but managed to keep on trucking up to three steps to the landing and just freaking HURLED it from me, and collapsed to the floor while panting. I nearly puked a Walmart, too.

But it was one of those no win things, I was like "Oooh this was a bad plan man, but there is no way back only forward.."

Not moving unless they kick me out. It's fine it's nicer than a lot of places I saw on my travels yesterday.

    Anna

Amazing what we can accomplish with determination and mindfulness! In a couple of weeks you’ll be in a groove and all this stress/chaos will be behind you.

I’m inspired by you truthfully. I don’t know if I would have the guts or motivation to do what you’re doing with all the challenges. I have a difficult time getting out of bed most days even on my meds lol!

    Kudos to you Anna!!!
